Some great news for fans of the wonderfully wacky ‘Solar Opposites‘! Not only has Season 5 (which premieres this August on Hulu in the USA and Disney+ in the UK) got a trailer, but the animated series has also been renewed for Season 6!
The series centres around a team of four aliens who escape their exploding home world only to crash land into a move-in-ready home in suburban America. They are evenly split on whether Earth is awful or awesome. Korvo and Yumyulack only see the pollution, crass consumerism, and human frailty while Terry and Jesse love humans and all their TV, junk food and fun stuff. Their mission: protect the Pupa, a living supercomputer that will one day evolve into its true form, consume them and terraform the Earth.
In the 12-episode of Season 5, now that alien mission partners Terry and Korvo are married, the whole Solar Opposites team are focused on family values… I’m sure that’ll work out fine with no disasters whatsoever!
The series stars Dan Stevens as Korvo, Sean Giambrone as Yumyulack, Mary Mack as Jesse, and Thomas Middleditch as Terry.
‘Solar Opposites’ is executive produced by Mike McMahan and Josh Bycel. The series is produced by 20th Television Animation.
‘Solar Opposites‘ Season 5 will premiere Monday, 12th August 2024 on Disney+ UK and on Hulu in the USA. There is also a Halloween special coming later this year.
