Apple TV+ has released a first look at the highly anticipated fourth season of its Emmy, SAG, and Critics’ Choice Award-winning drama The Morning Show, which officially returns this September.

Starring and executive produced by Jennifer Aniston (Friends) and Reese Witherspoon (Big Little Lies), the global hit drama continues to explore the complex world of broadcast journalism and corporate politics, with Season 4 set in Spring 2024, nearly two years after the explosive events of Season 3.

With the UBA-NBN merger now complete, the newsroom faces new layers of responsibility and scrutiny, as the line between truth and illusion becomes ever more fragile in a world fuelled by deepfakes, conspiracies, and hidden agendas. As the press release teases: “Who can you trust? And how can you know what’s actually real?”

Joining the cast this season are Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose), Jeremy Irons (Watchmen), Aaron Pierre (The Underground Railroad), William Jackson Harper (The Good Place), and Boyd Holbrook (The Sandman), alongside returning stars Billy Crudup (Almost Famous), Mark Duplass (Togetherness), Nestor Carbonell (Lost), Karen Pittman (And Just Like That), Greta Lee (Russian Doll), Nicole Beharie (Sleepy Hollow), and fan-favourite Jon Hamm (Mad Men).

The Morning Show continues to be shepherded by showrunner and executive producer Charlotte Stoudt, with Mimi Leder directing and also serving as executive producer. The series is produced by Media Res, with executive producers Michael Ellenberg and Lindsey Springer for the studio, alongside Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, and Aniston and Kristin Hahn for Echo Films. Additional executive producers include Zander Lehmann and Micah Schraft.

The series has earned critical acclaim across all seasons, with Season 3 picking up 16 Emmy nominations and a win for Billy Crudup in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category, his second Emmy for the role of Cory Ellison. He also took home a Critics’ Choice Award for Season 3, which was recognised by the American Film Institute as one of the 10 best TV programmes of 2023. Across its previous seasons, the show has racked up nominations for Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, Marcia Gay Harden, and director Mimi Leder, with Aniston taking home a SAG Award in Season 1 and Leder earning multiple Emmy nods for her direction.

The Morning Show‘ Season 4 premieres Wednesday, 17th September 2025, on Apple TV+ globally.
