ITV is bringing bold new comedy to its screens this June as ‘Transaction‘, a fresh, irreverent workplace sitcom created by and starring award-winning comedian Jordan Gray (Talent Award winner, Edinburgh Comedy Awards), makes its debut. The full box set will be available to stream on ITVX this June, with weekly episodes also airing on ITV2.
Set on the chaotic night shift of a supermarket, Transaction follows Liv (played by Jordan Gray), a wildly confident, sharp-tongued transgender woman who turns her new job at the local Pellocks store into a playground of mischief. Hired by flustered boss Simon (played by Nick Frost – Hot Fuzz, Truth Seekers) following a disastrously misjudged LGBTQ+ marketing campaign, Liv quickly realises she’s untouchable… and lets loose with theatrical flair.
The ensemble cast includes Doon Mackichan (Two Doors Down, Good Omens), Thomas Gray (Peacock, A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder), Francesca Mills (The Witcher, Boat Story), and Kayla Meikle (Mickey 17, The Girl Before).
Transaction is loud, vibrant and unapologetic, taking a no-holds-barred approach to identity, inclusivity and corporate absurdity. Jordan Gray’s anarchic comedy energy infuses every scene, offering a razor-sharp look at modern diversity politics through the lens of a late-night supermarket aisle.
Directed by Ollie Parsons (Breeders, Man Like Mobeen), the series is produced by Big Talk Studios (part of ITV Studios) and supported by North East Screen. Executive producers include Kenton Allen, Lucy Robinson, Nick Frost, and Jordan Gray. The series was commissioned by ITV’s Head of Comedy Nana Hughes, and produced by Lara Singer (Peacock).
‘Transaction‘ Season 1 premieres on ITVX and ITV2 from Tuesday, 24th June 2025.
