Apple TV+ has released the official trailer for the second season of the critically acclaimed comedy ‘Platonic‘, starring and executive produced by Seth Rogen (The Studio) and Rose Byrne (Physical). The series returns this August with more hilarious midlife mayhem for everyone’s favourite codependent best friends.
Created by Nick Stoller (Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Francesca Delbanco (Friends from College), the new season finds former party animals Will and Sylvia trying to navigate a fresh set of life hurdles, including demanding jobs, complex relationships, and the chaos of modern adulthood, while clinging to their increasingly complicated friendship.
Joining the fun this season are returning cast members Luke Macfarlane (Bros) and Carla Gallo (Bones), with new guest stars including Aidy Bryant (Shrill), Kyle Mooney (Saturday Night Live), Beck Bennett (DuckTales), and Milo Manheim (Zombies).
Produced by Sony Pictures Television, ‘Platonic’ is executive produced by Byrne, Rogen, Stoller, Delbanco, Conor Welch, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver for Point Grey Pictures.
Fans of Apple TV+ comedies will know that both Rogen and Byrne are no strangers to the platform. Rogen’s recent workplace satire ‘The Studio‘ smashed records with 23 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series, while Byrne starred in the now-concluded dark comedy ‘Physical’.
‘Platonic‘Â Season 2 premieres Wednesday, 6th August 2025 on Apple TV+, with the first two episodes dropping together, followed by weekly episodes.
