‘Invincible’ Scores Season 5 Renewal At Prime Video Ahead Of Season 4 Return In 2026

by Dave Elliott

It’s a superpowered win for animation fans, as Invincible has officially been renewed for a fifth season on Prime Video — and that’s before season four has even hit our screens!

The hit adult-animated superhero series, based on the acclaimed comic by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, continues to soar with fans and critics alike. With season four not due to arrive until 2026, the early renewal highlights Prime Video’s confidence in the show’s ever-expanding universe and devoted following.

Season three was a record-breaker, becoming Prime Video’s most-watched animated season of all time and the biggest returning season across all of its adult animation originals. It also earned nominations for the Critics’ Choice Awards and back-to-back Primetime Emmys, while maintaining a stellar 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Not bad for a show known for smashing expectations (and the occasional ribcage).

In addition to the renewal, Prime Video confirmed that Matthew Rhys (The Americans, Perry Mason) will be joining the voice cast for the upcoming fourth season.

‘Invincible’ follows teenager Mark Grayson as he comes into his powers and attempts to live up to the legacy of his father, Omni-Man. But being a hero in this world is rarely black and white, and Mark’s journey is packed with intense battles, emotional consequences, and moral dilemmas that cut deeper than your average cape show.

The star-studded voice cast includes Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, and J.K. Simmons, alongside Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Zachary Quinto, Mark Hamill, Clancy Brown, and many more. The series is produced by Skybound Animation, with executive producers including Robert Kirkman, Seth Rogen, and David Alpert.

Invincible’ Season 4 will premiere in 2026 on Prime Video. Season 5 is officially in the works. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
