Disney+ has released the official trailer for ‘Only Murders in the Building‘ Season 5, which returns this September with more mystery, murder, and plenty of snark from its beloved trio.
The Emmy® Award-nominated comedy sees Steve Martin (Father of the Bride), Martin Short (Schitt’s Creek), and Selena Gomez (13 Reasons Why) back as Charles, Oliver, and Mabel. This time, the investigation hits closer to home after their beloved doorman, Lester, dies under suspicious circumstances. Refusing to believe it was an accident, the trio’s sleuthing takes them deep into the shadowy corners of New York and beyond, where they uncover a dangerous web of secrets connecting powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and the mysterious residents of the Arconia.
As they dig deeper, the group discovers a growing divide between the city they once knew and a “new” New York, where the old mob is struggling to hold on and newer, even more dangerous players are rising to power.
Season 5 features returning cast member Michael Cyril Creighton (Spotlight) and an impressive line-up of special guest stars, including Meryl Streep (Only Murders in the Building), Da’Vine Joy Randolph (The Idol), Richard Kind (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Nathan Lane (The Producers), Bobby Cannavale (Boardwalk Empire), Renée Zellweger (Bridget Jones’s Diary), Logan Lerman (Hunters), Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds), Téa Leoni (Madam Secretary), Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele), Beanie Feldstein (Booksmart), Dianne Wiest (Life in Pieces), and Jermaine Fowler (The Blackening).
‘Only Murders in the Building’ comes from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (Grace & Frankie, Looking), with Martin, Hoffman, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, This Is Us creator Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, and JJ Philbin executive producing. The series is produced by 20th Television, part of Disney Television Studios.
‘Only Murders in the Building‘ Season 5 premieres Tuesday, 9th September 2025 on Disney+ in the UK and internationally, and on Hulu in the US.
