Disney+ has unveiled the trailer for its upcoming original comedy ‘Chad Powers’, the new series co-created by and starring Glen Powell (Anyone But You, Top Gun: Maverick). The show will premiere this September on Disney+ in the UK, with two episodes dropping at launch, followed by weekly instalments.
The series follows Russ Holliday (Powell), a hotshot quarterback whose career implodes after a major mistake torpedoes his college football dreams. Eight years later, desperate to get back in the game, he reinvents himself under the bizarre but brilliant alter ego Chad Powers, walking on to the struggling South Georgia Catfish team in a last-ditch shot at glory.
‘Chad Powers’ comes from Powell and Michael Waldron (Loki, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), with former NFL legends Eli and Peyton Manning among the executive producers. Behind the camera, Tony Yacenda (American Vandal) directs and exec produces, while Luvh Rakhe and Adam Fasullo join as additional producers.
The comedy also stars Perry Mattfeld (In the Dark) as Ricky, Quentin Plair (Tiny Beautiful Things) as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett (Doom Patrol) as Tricia Yeager, Frankie A. Rodriguez (High School Musical: The Musical: The Series) as Danny, and Steve Zahn (The White Lotus) as Coach Jake Hudson.
‘Chad Powers’ Season 1 premieres Tuesday, 30th September 2025 on Disney+ UK and on Hulu in the USA.
