Sky has landed the UK and Ireland rights to ‘Crystal Lake’, the highly anticipated prequel to the Friday the 13th franchise. Produced by A24 and distributed by Peacock in the US, the new series will air on Sky and stream on NOW in 2026, marking the first project to return to Jason Voorhees’ blood-soaked world since the 2009 reboot.
Leading the cast is Linda Cardellini (Dead to Me, No Good Deed) as Pamela Voorhees, the infamous mother who began the franchise’s murderous legacy. She’s joined by William Catlett (A Thousand and One, Constellation), Devin Kessler (Godfather of Harlem), Cameron Scoggins (Shades of Blue, Nashville), and Gwendolyn Sundstrom.
Supporting and guest roles will feature Callum Vinson (Chucky, Long Bright River), Nick Cordileone (Warrior), Joy Suprano (Fleishman is in Trouble), Danielle Kotch (Director’s Cut), and Phoenix Parnevik (Bel-Air, Don’t Tell Mom).
The creative team includes Michael Lennox (Say Nothing, Derry Girls), who also serves as executive producer, along with directing duo Celine Held and Logan George (Topside, Caddo Lake) and Quyen Tran (Sirens, The Pitt).
Showrunner and executive producer Brad Caleb Kane (It: Welcome to Derry) created the series, reuniting with original Friday the 13th writer Victor Miller and Horror, Inc. to explore the origins of the infamous camp and its cursed legacy. A24 and Peacock executive produce alongside Marc Toberoff, Robert M. Barsamian, Stuart Manashil, Tyson Bidner, and Michael Lennox.
