‘Allegiance’: Supinder Wraich and Enrico Colantoni Lead High-Octane New Police Drama Coming to U&alibi This November

by Dave Elliott

A gripping new Canadian police procedural, Allegiance, is heading to the UK this November on U&alibi, bringing a fresh take on the cop-show formula with Supinder Wraich (Sort Of) as rookie officer Sabrina Sohal and Enrico Colantoni (Veronica Mars, Flashpoint) as her veteran training officer Vince Brambilla.

The series follows Sabrina, a proud second-generation Punjabi-Canadian who has just achieved her dream of joining the Canadian Federal Police Corps. But her world collapses when her father, Ajeet Sohal (played by Stephen Lobo, Continuum), the country’s Minister of Public Safety, is suddenly and wrongfully arrested for treason on the very day of her graduation.

As Sabrina sets out on her first posting in her hometown of Surrey, British Columbia, she’s forced to reconcile her deep belief in justice with the cracks in the system she’s sworn to uphold. With Vince as her reluctant mentor, she finds herself thrown into cases that test not only her skills but her ideals, from kidnapping and trafficking investigations to gang warfare and political corruption. Each case pulls her further into the mystery of who framed her father and why.

The show comes from creator Anar Ali, with Mark Ellis and Stephanie Morgenstern (the duo behind Flashpoint and X Company) serving as showrunners. Ali describes the series as exploring “the limits of a flawed justice system and the power of restorative justice,” while Ellis and Morgenstern call it “a re-examination of what it means to be in law enforcement today.”

The 10-episode first season features an impressive ensemble, including Adolyn H. Dar (The Expanse) as Sabrina’s brother Ishaan, Brian Markinson (Mad Men, Painkiller) as family lawyer Max Portman, Crystal Balint (The Fall of the House of Usher) as Inspector Kara Degas, and David Cubitt (Virgin River, Medium) as Superintendent Eli Bolton.

Filmed in Vancouver and produced by Lark Productions (Motive, Family Law) for CBC in association with Universal International Studios, ‘Allegiance’ combines the emotional weight of family drama with the pace and moral complexity of modern procedurals. It’s a series that asks not only who committed the crime, but whether justice itself can still be trusted.

Allegiance’ Season 1 premieres Thursday, 13th November 2025 at 9pm on U&alibi, and will also be available on demand via Sky, Virgin Media, and NOW.
