Sky has unveiled the full trailer for ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms‘, the next Westerosi adventure to leap from the pages of George R R Martin and onto our screens. This new half-hour drama introduces a more intimate, character-driven corner of the Seven Kingdoms, following a wandering knight and the unlikely squire who will shape his destiny. The series arrives this January on Sky and NOW in the UK.
Set around a century before ‘Game of Thrones’, the story follows Ser Duncan the Tall, better known as Dunk, and his diminutive but razor-sharp squire Egg. With the Targaryen dynasty still seated on the Iron Throne and the memory of real dragons still fresh in living minds, the Seven Kingdoms are teeming with jousts, rivalries and dangerous opportunities. Dunk is brave, earnest and occasionally catastrophic. Egg is clever, curious and hiding a truth that could shake the realm. Together, they trek through Westeros, crossing paths with nobles, rogues and future legends.
The cast brings together Peter Claffey (Bad Sisters) as Ser Duncan “Dunk” the Tall, and Dexter Sol Ansell (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes) as Egg. They are joined by Daniel Ings (The Crown) as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, Bertie Carvel (The Crown) as Baelor Targaryen, Danny Webb (Alien 3) as Ser Arlan of Pennytree, Sam Spruell (Small Axe) as Maekar Targaryen, Shaun Thomas (Brassic) as Raymun Fossoway, Finn Bennett (True Detective: Night Country) as Aerion Targaryen, Edward Ashley (The Lost City of Z) as Ser Steffon Fossoway, Tanzyn Crawford (Tiny Beautiful Things) as Tanselle, Henry Ashton (Gassed Up) as Daeron Targaryen, Youssef Kerkour (Home) as Steely Pate, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Avengers: Endgame) as Plummer and Daniel Monks (Late Night with the Devil) as Ser Manfred Dondarrion.
The series hails from co-creator and executive producer George R R Martin, alongside co-creator, showrunner and executive producer Ira Parker. Additional executive producers include Sarah Bradshaw, Owen Harris, Ryan Condal and Vince Gerardis, with Harris and Sarah Adina Smith directing across the season.
‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Season 1 premieres Monday, 19th January 2026, on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK. It airs on Sunday, January 18, 2026, on HBO and HBO Max in the USA.
