Malcolm In The Middle Revival Heads To Disney+ UK This April With ‘Life’s Still Unfair’

‘Malcolm in the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair’ is officially heading to the UK, with Disney confirming the long-awaited revival will land on Disney+ this April. Yes, the Wilkerson family chaos is back, and it looks gloriously uncomfortable.

The limited four-episode revival reunites the core cast of the original sitcom, picking up years later with Malcolm having done what many of us have only fantasised about: distancing himself from his family. Naturally, this peace does not last.

The story kicks off when Hal and Lois demand Malcolm return home for their 40th wedding anniversary, dragging him and his daughter straight back into the familiar orbit of dysfunction. Time has passed, but some things clearly have not changed.

Returning to the mayhem are Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) as Hal, Frankie Muniz (Agent Cody Banks) as Malcolm, Jane Kaczmarek (Raising the Bar) as Lois, Christopher Kennedy Masterson (Scary Movie 2) as Francis, Justin Berfield (Kim Possible) as Reese, and Emy Coligado (The Circle) as Piama.

The revival also introduces a new generation of chaos. Keeley Karsten (Hunters) plays Leah, Malcolm’s daughter, Vaughan Murrae (Before I Change My Mind) appears as Kelly, Malcolm’s youngest sibling, Kiana Madeira (Trinkets) joins as Tristan, Malcolm’s girlfriend, and Caleb Ellsworth-Clark (The Expanse) steps into the role of Dewey.

Behind the scenes, the revival keeps its original DNA intact. Creator Linwood Boomer returns as writer and executive producer, with Bryan Cranston also executive producing alongside Tracy Katsky, Gail Berman, and New Regency’s Arnon Milchan, Yariv Milchan, and Natalie Lehmann. Ken Kwapis directs all four episodes.

Disney also confirmed that all 151 episodes of the original Malcolm in the Middle are already available to stream on Disney+ in the UK, making this a very good excuse for a full rewatch before the family reunion kicks off.
