ITVX has picked up Australian comedic crime drama ‘Sunny Nights’, starring Will Forte (The Four Seasons, Last Man on Earth, Bodkin) and D’Arcy Carden (Nobody Wants This, The Good Place, Barry), with the eight-part series arriving in the UK this August.
The Stan Original follows strait-laced American Martin Marvin, played by Forte, who teams up with his loose cannon sister Vicki, played by Carden, to launch a spray tan business in Sydney. Because apparently moving to Australia and selling artificial sunshine was not already risky enough, the siblings soon find themselves mixed up with the city’s criminal underworld.
Martin and Vicki initially operate their new company from the back of a van, but have ambitions to transform it into a multi-million-dollar empire. Unfortunately, a ruthless gangster is beginning to catch up with them, leaving the pair trying to remain alive, avoid prison and somehow keep their increasingly questionable business in profit.
The supporting cast includes Rachel House (Thor: Ragnarok, Heartbreak High, Foundation), Jessica De Gouw (The Couple Next Door, The Artful Dodger, Ladies in Black), Miritana Hughes (Wakefield, Preacher), Ra Chapman (White Fever, Wentworth) and Megan Wilding (Gold Diggers, Mystery Road: Origin).
There will also be a special appearance from Patrick Brammall (Colin From Accounts, No Activity, The Letdown).
‘Sunny Nights’ is produced by Jungle Entertainment and Echo Lake Entertainment, with Cineflix Rights handling international distribution.
‘Sunny Nights’ premieres Sunday, 16th August 2026 on ITVX.
