This is the cast, with the addition of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian.
In the run up to ComicCon few casting rumours cropping up regarding the Zak Snyder directed movie based on the Watchmen graphic novel (for those of you that haven’t read it, what the hell are you waiting for!)
IESB has the following as cast:
Rorschach to be played by Jackie Earle Haley
Adrian Veidt/Oxymandias to be played by Matthew Goode
Dr. Manhattan to be played by Billy Crudup
Silk Spectre (II) to be played by Malin Ackerman
The Night Owl (II) to be played by Patrick Wilson
Official announcements are expected at ComicCon where we get to see if IESB got it right. Other key roles there has been no word on yet are The Comedian, Hollis Mason/Nite Owl (I) and Sally Juspeczyk/Silk Spectre (I). I’m quite glad they seem to be casting lesser know actors for the lead roles though, rather than give in to the big names that have been allegedly chasing parts (e.g. Jude Law and Tom Cruise to name 2). Shaping up to be a very interesting looking film.
