News winging its way from ComicCon, that Zachary Quinto, better know as Syler in Heroes, is now locked to play young Spock in JJ Abrams new Star Trek movie, with old Spock being reprised by Leonard Nimoy. Producers are saying the new film will respect the Star Trek canon, and stick to the timeline. The film will fill in the time running up to Kirk gaining command of the Enterprise.
They are desperately looking for a way of putting The Shatner into the flick, but thats proving a little difficult due to old Kirk pushing up daisies. No news on casting of young Kirk yet… there are rumours of (god forbid) Robbie Williams(!) talking to JJ about the role, but i rather suspect (hope) they stay as rumours…
