Meeting some of the 'local guards'
For those of you that may not have heard, on Monday the 12th September 2011 the UK was the first country in the world to get the Blu-Ray release of Star Wars: The Complete Saga. If you were in London however, it would have been pretty hard not to notice, for a number of reasons…
Firstly, Darth Vader and a squad of Stormtroopers took to the streets in an Imperial March that will sent shivers down the spines of Londoners. The march began at St. James’ Park where they joined Changing of the Guards activities, before proceeding to HMV on Oxford Street to meet shoppers as they queued to get their hands on the highly anticipated Blu-ray release.
Yesterday then saw the legend that is Anthony Daniels at the opening of the HMV store at the new Westfield Shopping Centre. However, they are saving the most extravagant till last… Tomorrow night, the LucasFilm PR ewoks will be turning London’s BT Tower into the World’s Largest Lightsaber!
