Paramount+ has renewed ‘Tulsa King‘ for a fifth season, ahead of its Season 4 premiere this October. And there is a change of scenery coming for Sylvester Stallone (‘Rocky’, ‘Rambo’), as Dwight “The General” Manfredi’s story heads back to his New York mafia roots. Apparently, building an empire in Oklahoma was never going to be the end of his to-do list.
Production on Season 5 is already underway, with filming relocating from Atlanta to New York to match the new storyline. The announcement gives fans something substantial to look forward to beyond the impending fourth season, although Paramount+ is keeping the finer details of Dwight’s next chapter under wraps for now.
The move is particularly interesting given what lies ahead in Season 4. Dwight is still trying to legitimise his empire and protect the people around him, but corrupt politicians, dangerous new enemies and a crushing personal loss threaten to undo his progress. Every gain brings uncomfortable questions about loyalty, leadership and the cost of ambition, while his attempts to move forward drag him deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York.
So, before the series takes him back towards his mafia roots, Tulsa itself is becoming a battleground. Dwight may have ambitions of respectability, but it sounds as though his old methods are going to be getting quite the workout first. There is only so much a nice suit can do when everyone around you is making life difficult.
Season 5 also brings changes to the cast. Scarlet Rose Stallone (‘Tulsa King’), who plays Spencer and has appeared across the first four seasons, is being promoted to series regular. That gives an existing member of the ensemble a more prominent billing as the drama prepares for its next chapter.
Four new actors are joining her as series regulars: Erik Palladino (‘I Play Rocky’), Glenn Fleshler (‘Billions’), Anthony Skordi (‘The Last Frontier’) and Nickola Shreli (‘Power Book IV: Force’). Paramount+ has not revealed their character details in the announcement, so we will have to wait to discover who might be helping Dwight, who might be getting in his way, and who might discover that those are occasionally the same job.
The timing of the renewal means viewers can head into Season 4 knowing another instalment is already in production. It also gives the forthcoming season’s references to Dwight’s New York instincts an intriguing extra dimension, with the next run explicitly set to return to those roots. How the fourth season gets him to that point remains something for the episodes themselves to reveal.
Behind the scenes, Terence Winter serves as head writer and executive producer. Taylor Sheridan and Stallone also executive produce alongside David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Thomas Kelly and Keith Cox. The series is produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios.
For now, there is no announced premiere date for Season 5. The immediate appointment is Dwight’s fourth outing, with another round of empire-building, uneasy loyalties and problems that probably will not be resolved with a polite email.
‘Tulsa King‘ Season 4 premieres Friday, 16th October 2026 on Paramount+.
