3rd (Bronze Award) – Red Dwarf – Dave
2012 saw a triumphant return for the classic sci-fi sit-com, Red Dwarf. Now airing on Dave, it sees Dave, Rimmer, Cat and Kryten all reunited on the giant rouge one for another round of wacky adventures. Over the later seasons on the BBC, Dwarf had gotten a little away from its roots, so writer and co-creator Doug Naylor made the sensible decision to put the boys back into the more familiar set up of the season 3 era. 4 guys, stranded on the ship, drifting through space.
No news on a series XI yet, but the ratings were superb for Dave, and the cast are up for it, so there’s a fair chance we’ll see more Red Dwarf in the future.

2nd (Silver Award) – How I Met Your Mother – E4
They may have announced there is only 1 more season before Ted FINALLY tells his kids how he met their mother, but it’s been a fantastic ride… In fact, some would call it Legen… wait for it… dary! It’s rather apt this show is in the top 3 of the comedy/musical category, as whilst it is primarily a comedy, it has had some epic musical moment, such as the one in the clip above!
1st (Gold Award) – Big Bang Theory – E4
From fairly early in the voting there was one show that steamed ahead of the others… And that was Big Band Theory. Who’d have thought a show about the adventures of a group physicists and their friends would prove so popular! Although they are a great ensemble cast, this is the show that introduced us to the genius that is Sheldon… And for that we are ever grateful!
