In late 1996 with no money, I hitch-hiked from North Devon to London to be outside the premiere of Star Trek: First Contact. Myself and a friend made it with only a few minutes to spare before the first of the cast arrived at the Empire in Leicester Square. That was a great deal of effort just to stand outside and take a bunch of photos. 20 years later, I now live in London, already have the day off on the 22nd and it would be awesome to actually go inside.

Here’s the photos… https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.23196723032.28499.754933032&type=1&l=ad6fae2570

I’ve been watching Star Trek since the beginning, this film would be the first Trek thing I hadn’t seen half a dozen times before, new Star Trek doesn’t come along often enough, does it? To not know what’s coming next would be brilliant for a change :)

I’m a massive fan of Star Trek series.Star Trek is the true never ending story.Show touched on a number of topics especially relevant to the 60s such as racial strife , intolerance,, rebelling youth , war and so on. And who can’t love the whole Kirk-Spock-MCcoy trio? Would love to see Beyond :) .

I am a serious grown-up person born in the outskirts of Russia with a stone face and a cold heart. But the theme music from Star Trek melts my heart and the Spock-dying scene from The Wrath of Khan shreds me to pieces with rivers of tears running down my cheeks. Love and emotions do not come easy but love for Star Trek is eternal.

There’s not that many film franchises that I’m a massive fan of, but Star Trek is definitely one of them. I’ve been waiting for this film to be released for ages, and to see the premiere would be the icing on the cake.
Plus, after the tragic death of Anton Yelchin, it will be an emotional evening, and I’d love to see the tributes that will no doubt be paid to him.

My partner has man flu and is lying on the sofa feeling sorry for himself playing ps4,
If I can tell him I have won this for him I won’t have to put up with him moaning and can stop making him cups of tea every 2 minutes.

When I first met my BFF, he was clean-shaven, had his hair over-styled and with too much product in it…although that was mandatory and how all the men were expected to look in that part of the country, but he was so unhappy with his life that the look in his big brown soulful eyes would have made you cry. His dream had always been to become an actor, but he wasn’t so much as ridiculed for that, as he was vilified…until I came along and now he’s sporting a magnificent beard, has untamed curly hair and is about to appear in his first ever role, which is a found footage film I’ve written and that is hopefully going to become a cult classic. I have no doubt that he’ll be walking the red carpet on a film of his own one day…but It would mean so much to him to go to a premiere now and while he’s still building his confidence, because he’s an incredibly talented actor, but an even better man and my dearest friend.
