SDCC: ‘Arrow’ Trailer, Michael Emerson Joining Cast

Saturday’s SDCC saw a whole bunch of panels for DC’s TV shows, so we’re kicking off with Arrow, which dropped a new Season 6 trailer, and some casting news! Obviously *SPOILERS* for Arrow Season 6 in this article!

The new cast member is ‘Lost’ and ‘Person Of Interest’ alumni, Michael Emerson, who will be playing one of the ‘big bads’ this season. I say “one of”, as it appears there will a cabal of villains for Team Arrow to face this time around, of which Emerson will be one. Oliver’s frenamy Anatoly Knyazev (David Nykl) is also set to return, and exec producer Marc Guggenheim also announced Kung Fu based enemy Richard Dragon will be making an appearance. Some sites seem to be saying Emerson will be playing Dragon, but I think they have their lines crossed…

They also dropped a trailer, which is mainly a recap of the season 5 finale, but does have a few new shots in there, especially of Deathstroke (Manu Bennett), who we knew already was saved from the island. As we mentioned a few weeks ago, the only people unaccounted for at the moment are Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) and the al Ghul sisters.

Other little bits of news include more Slade Wilson/Deathstroke. Not only will the character get a special 2 part episode in the first half of the season, but also we will be getting a Slade Wilson flashback story.

Vigilante, the… erm… vigilante… will be returning, and will probably have “face that is familiar to you” according to Guggenheim. Kacey Rohl will also be back as Alena from the Helix hacker collective.

Arrow‘ Season 6 comes to Sky 1 in Autumn 2017.
