Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones is back, and not only has Netflix released a new trailer for Season 2, but in a surprising level of transparency for the streaming service, they’ve also announced the air date too – Thursday, 8th March 2018.

The show sees Krysten Ritter down a bottle of scotch, and don the leather jacket of New York City private investigator Jessica Jones once again. She is beginning to put her life back together after murdering her tormenter, Kilgrave (David Tennant), and has started become known throughout the city… as a super-powered killer… A new case makes her reluctantly confront who she really is, whilst digging deeper into her past to explore the reasons why.

Creator Melissa Rosenberg has said she’s looking to follow the comic book a little more closely with season 2. “I will always use as much as I can from the books, but unfortunately, we’ve gone away from that mythology,” she commented. “The MCU is very different, and we’re probably not going to be able to do parallel storylines. But I take every little piece I can [from the comics] because it’s so good.” She goes on to add “I just want to continue with Jessica’s character – she’s very damaged, and the damage goes beyond Kilgrave, so there’s a lot to mine from in her backstory and her present-day situation.”
