Netflix Renews ‘Grace and Frankie’ For Season 5, Adds RuPaul In Guest Role

Netflix has renewed their acclaimed comedy series Grace and Frankie for a 5th Season, and added an interesting guest star to the show when it returns!

The series stars Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin as two women whose lives are suddenly turned upside down when their husbands (played by Martin Sheen and Sam Waterston) reveal they are gay and leave them for each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, they form an unlikely bond to face an uncertain future together and discover a new definition of “family,” with laughter, tears and plenty of mood enhancers along the way.

Season 5 will see the addition of RuPaul in a guest starring role as Benjamin Le Day, a formidable and quick-witted adversary who faces off with Grace and Frankie.

The show comes from Marta Kauffman and Howard J. Morris and also stars June Diane Raphael, Baron Vaughn, Brooklyn Decker and Ethan Embry as the duo’s children. Kauffman reteamed with one of her old ‘Friends’ alumni last year by adding Lisa Kudrow in a recurring role as Sheree, Grace’s manicurist.

News of this pick comes just 1 month after Season 4 landed on the streaming service.

Grace and Frankie‘ Seasons 1 to 4 are currently streaming on Netflix UK.
