by Dave Elliott

It’s been a while coming, but Netflix’s Lost In Space reboot finally has a trailer, and an air date!

Taking its cues from the original 1960s sci-fi classic, ‘Lost In Space’ centres around the Robinson family, who is forced to come together in a time of crisis. Stranded light years from their intended destination, they find themselves battling a strange new alien environment and also their own personal demons.

Toby Stephens (‘Black Sails’) plays the father & commander John Robinson and Molly Parker (‘House of Cards’) takes the role of mother & biochemist Maureen Robinson. The kids are played by Taylor Russell (‘Falling Skies’) as eldest child Judy, Mina Sundwall (‘Freeheld’) as middle daughter Penny, and Maxwell Jenkins (Sense8), who will play the youngest child, (DANGER) Will Robinson.

Parker Posey (‘Search Party’, ‘Louie’) takes on the role of the scheming Dr. Smith, switched to a female character for this version, and Ignacio Serricchio (‘Bones’) plays Major Don West, pilot of the Jupiter 2 spacecraft.

The show is being written by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless (‘Dracula Untold’, ‘Power Rangers 2017’), who will exec produce along with Zack Estrin (‘No Ordinary Family’, ‘Prison Break’, ‘Charmed’), who serves as showrunner.

Lost In Space‘ lands on Netflix, with all episodes available, from Friday, 13th April 2018.
