Graham McTavish & Peyton List Join ‘Colony’ Season 3

Sci-fi drama ‘Colony‘ has landed a few more people when it returns for Season 3 later this year. ‘Outlander’ star Graham McTavish and ‘Frequency’ actress Peyton List will both be popping up in the new season, along with a couple of other new additions it has been announced.

Created by Carlton Cuse (‘Lost’, ‘The Strain’) & Ryan Condal (‘Logan’s Run’), ‘Colony’ is set in a near-future Los Angeles, where a mysterious alien race has invaded the planet. Husband and wife Katie (Sarah Wayne Callies) and Will Bowman (Josh Holloway) find themselves on opposite sides of the occupation after their son is taken, as Will is collaborating with the enemy on the promise that they will release him, whereas Katie is a member of the resistance.

Peyton List is set to play Doctor Amy Leonard, a member of the San Fernando cell, who embarks on a dangerous journey with Eric Broussard (Tory Kittles), Katie’s main Resistance contact, to deliver valuable secrets to Resistance fighters combating the Occupation. List has been a popular face on the small screen in recent years. Along with her lead role in the short-lived ‘Frequency’, she has popped up on ‘The Flash’ as Lisa Snart, had roles on ‘Mad Men’, ‘The Tomorrow People’, and will appear on Season 4 of ‘Gotham’ which has just started airing on E4. She is also starring as the female lead opposite ‘The Originals’ Joseph Morgan in the tv pilot based on the best-selling book ‘Gone Baby Gone’.

Graham McTavish will play Andrew MacGregor, the leader of the most successful Resistance camp in what used to be the western United States. However, he is forced to adjust his well laid out plans when Will & Katie show up with vital new intel. McTavish is a well-known face to ‘Outlander’ fans having played Dougal MacKenzie on the series for 3 seasons. He also played the role of The Saint of Killers in ‘Preacher’ and, of course, Dwalin in ‘The Hobbit’ movies.

Two additional bits of casting news includes actor/singer/comedian/US tv host Wayne Brady and Waleed Zuaiter who played Samir in Netflix’s ‘Altered Carbon‘. Brady plays Everett Kynes, the tech genius head of the Seattle Colony, and Zuaiter will star as Vincent, a man forced to choose between supporting the Bowmans or honouring old ties.

‘Colony‘ returns to the US in May 2018, but usually airs in the Summer in the UK on Sky One. We’ll let you know when we have an exact date.
