First Full Trailer Lands For Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’

by Dave Elliott

Netflix’s highly anticipated series Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has got it’s first full trailer before it lands on the streaming service on Friday, 26th October 2018.

Half witch. Half mortal. On her 16th birthday, Sabrina (Kiernan Shipka) has to make a choice between the witch world of her family and the human world of her friends. With her aunties (Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis), her cat Salem, and her boyfriend Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch), Sabrina will face horrors and new adventures in the mysterious town of Greendale.

The series also includes Jaz Sinclair (‘The Vampire Diaries’) as Sabrina’s best friend Rosalind Walker, with Chance Perdomo playing Sabrina’s warlock cousin from England. Richard Coyle (‘Hard Sun’, ‘The Fall’, ‘Coupling’) stars as Father Blackwood, High Priest of the Church of Night and Dean of the Academy of the Unseen Arts. Finally, Michelle Gomez (‘Doctor Who’) is set to play Mary Wardell, Sabrina’s favourite teacher… who unfortunately becomes possessed by the devil’s handmaiden, Madam Satan!

The show was originally planned as a companion to ‘Riverdale’ for The CW, but ended up landing at Netflix instead, meaning there are unlikely to be crossovers (although it’s not entirely impossible.) The series has been written by Archie Comics CCO, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who also wrote the ‘Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina’ comic book on which the show is based. The show has already been picked up for a 2nd Season.

Aguirre-Sacasa will exec produce along with director Lee Toland Krieger (‘Riverdale’, ‘Deadly Class’, ‘Life Sentence’), Riverdale/Arrowverse’s Greg Berlanti & Sarah Schechter for Berlanti Productions, and Jon Goldwater for Archie Comics.

Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina‘ Season 1 comes to Netflix UK and worldwide on Friday, 26th October 2018.
