E4 Picks Up Matt LeBlanc Sitcom ‘Man With a Plan’
If you’ve been missing ‘Friends’ star and former ‘Top Gear’ host Matt LeBlanc from your UK telly box, you are in luck! E4 has picked up his US sitcom ‘Man With A Plan’ to air in 2020.
‘Man With a Plan’ stars Golden Globe winner Matt LeBlanc in a comedy about an old-school guy confronting the modern challenges of parenting, marriage, and family. After hitting a rough patch with his construction business, Adam’s self-assured wife, Andi, has proposed they start a house-flipping business together along with his clueless brother, Don, and unlikely friend, Lowell. In the midst of all this, Adam also has to juggle his three children and deal with his bossy sister-in-law, Marcy, and his opinionated father, Joe, who enjoys giving him terrible advice about how to run his life. With Andi’s encouragement, Adam takes charge of his brood, lays down the law, and discovers he’s going to “nail” this job.
The series stars LeBlanc in the lead role as dad Adam Burns, with wife Andi played by Liza Snyder (‘Sirens’, ‘Jesse’). They are joined by Grace Kaufman as the sassy, rebellious eldest child Kate, with Matthew McCann as the not-so-bright middle child Teddy, and Hala Finley as youngest child, Emme. Kevin Nealon (‘SNL’, ‘Weeds’) plays Adam’s clueless brother, Don, whilst Matt Cook (‘True Blood’, ‘Clipped’) portrays Lowell, another stay-at-home dad who befriends Adam. Rounding out the cast is Kali Rocha (‘Liv and Maddie’) as Marcy, Don’s wife, and Stacy Keach (‘Prison Break’, ‘NCIS: New Orleans’) who plays Joe, Adam and Don’s father.
The series is exec produced by LeBlanc with Jeff and Jackie Filgo, Michael Rotenberg, Troy Zien and Gregg Mettler, and already has 3 Seasons aired in the US, with a 4th Season due in 2020.
E4 has not yet set an exact UK premiere date for ‘Man With A Plan’ Season 1, but have said it will air in 2020. We’ll let you know when we hear more.
