Netflix Releases Full Trailer For ‘I Am Not Okay With This’ Premiering February
Netflix has released the full trailer for ‘I Am Not Okay With This‘, an adaptation of the Charles Forsman graphic novel from ‘The End of the F***ing World’s Jonathan Entwistle and the producers of ‘Stranger Things’, which premieres 26th February on the streaming service.
The series is an irreverent origin story that follows a teenage girl who’s navigating the trials and tribulations of high school, all while dealing with the complexities of her family and her budding sexuality. Oh… and also, the mysterious superpowers which are just beginning to awaken deep within her!
Sophia Lillis (‘It’ franchise, ‘Gretel & Hansel’, ‘Sharp Objects’) stars as Sydney, the young girl who really is just trying to get on with life, only to have things thrown off track when she discovers she has superpowers… which is annoying. Wyatt Oleff (‘It’ franchise, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise) plays Stanley Barber, the (slightly odd) boy who lives down the street, whilst Sofia Bryant (‘The Good Wife’, ‘The Code’) plays Syd’s best friend, Dina.
Other cast in the series includes Kathleen Rose Perkins (‘Episodes’, ‘You’re The Worst’) as Maggie, Aidan Wojtak-Hissong (‘The Mission’, ‘Falling Water’) as Liam, and Richard Ellis as Brad Lewis.
‘I Am Not Okay With This’ comes from Jonathan Entwistle, director and exec producer of ‘The End of the F***ing World’, who co-created the series with writer Christy Hall. ‘Stranger Things’ Shawn Levy, Dan Levine, Dan Cohen and Josh Barry exec produce for 21 Laps Entertainment.
A collected trade paperback of Forsman’s original ‘I Am Not Okay With This’ micro comic-book was published back in 2017 and is available here. The tv adaptation consists of 7 x 30 minutes episodes.
‘I Am Not Okay With This‘, Season 1, premieres Wednesday, 26th February 2020 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
