‘Taskmaster’ Season 10 Get October Premiere Date On Channel 4. Previous Seasons Coming To All4
Fresh from its BAFTA triumph, ‘Taskmaster‘ is back for a 10th Season this October, but this time in its new home on Channel 4.
Man-mountain Greg Davies returns as the incomparable and all-powerful Taskmaster, alongside series creator, Alex Horne, as his faithful sidekick and general dogsbody, and tiny administrative wonk, scoring the efforts of five top comedians as they tackle perplexing and extraordinary challenges in the name of critically acclaimed entertainment.
The five lambs to the slaughter for this sparkling season are Daisy May Cooper (This Country, BBC Three), acclaimed comedian, writer and director Johnny Vegas (Benidorm, ITV), BAFTA-winning actress Katherine Parkinson (IT Crowd, Channel 4), comedian and actor Mawaan Rizwan (Live At The Apollo, BBC Two), and comedian, multi-award-winning podcaster and writer Richard Herring (RHLSTP).
This brand new series features a whole heap of brand new tasks, designed to test the ingenuity and creativity of these talented contestants, from teapot-decorating to footwear-catapulting. During the weird and wonderful challenges, Greg’s PA Alex Horne will be looking on, making notes, recording times and gorging on pure, unadulterated stats. After 10 episodes, the winner will walk away with Greg’s golden head tucked under one arm and a genuine sense of accomplishment under the other. The losers, meanwhile, may never recover from the wounds inflicted by the Taskmaster’s serrated tongue… In episode one, the new batch of contestants get stuck in with giant bears, disappearing cows and flying eggs.
In addition to the new season landing on Channel 4, the broadcaster has also announced all nine previous series of the BAFTA-winning comedy game show, come to All 4 from Thursday 15 October. All-powerful Taskmaster Greg issues bizarre, tricky and often ingenious challenges to hyper-competitive contestants – from Frank Skinner and Joe Wilkinson to Aisling Bea and Jo Brand – while his faithful sidekick Alex acts as assistant and umpire during the weird and wonderful tasks, which include everything from painting the best picture of a horse while riding a horse, to filling an egg cup with tears.
