Aliyah O’Brien Joins ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 6

It seems the Waverider could be adding a new “frenemy” as news lands that former Candian actress Aliyah O’Brien joins the cast of Legends Of Tomorrow Season 6 in a recurring role.

O’Brien is set to play Kayla, a fearsome warrior with a high body count and low patience for human incompetence. She’ll be put through her paces working with and against the Legends as she’s certainly not used to messing anything up, much less for the better.

O’Brien has been a reasonably familiar face to fans of crime drama having starred in the short-lived ‘Take Two’, which recently ran FOX in the UK, police drama ‘Rookie Blue’. She’s also popped up in ‘Supernatural’, ‘Bates Motel’, ‘Ascension’ and ‘Continuum’.

The sixth season picks up with the Legends after last season’s surprising finale. Having spent season five tracking down the Loom of Fate in order to bring back their slain comrades, the Legends must now save history from a foe like none they have ever encountered in the past or future… space aliens! After Sara is abducted by a ruthless alien, this new mission becomes personal. It will take more than the combined powers of the Legends to save the world for a sixth time.

O’Brien joins the returning cast of Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/White Canary), Dominic Purcell (Mick Rory/Heat Wave), Nick Zano (Nate Heywood/Steel), Matt Ryan (John Constantine), Tala Ashe (Zari), Jes Macallan (Ava), Olivia Swann (Astra) and Shayan Sobhian (Behrad). They will also be joined by Lisseth Chavez (‘Chicago P.D.’) who will play new recruit, Esperanza “Spooner” Cruz.

We don’t yet know when Legends Of Tomorrow will return on either side of the Atlantic, as the series is going to run a little behind the return of the other Arrowverse shows. On The CW in the USA, an all-new ‘Batwoman’ Season 2 is set to kick things off on January 17, followed by the final 4th Season of ‘Black Lightning’ on February 8, with ‘The Flash’ Season 7 and new series ‘Superman & Lois’ on February 23. The final 6th Season of ‘Supergirl’ and ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ Season 6 will be some time after that.

We’ve still no idea when the Arrowverse shows will arrive in the UK, but The Flash, Supergirl and Legends Of Tomorrow will air on Sky One when they do land, and Black Lightning should come to Netflix UK (although that will be after it has completed airing in the USA as they air it as a boxset now). Superman & Lois does not officially have a UK broadcaster yet, although we hope Sky One hasn’t dropped the ball again there… Batwoman Season 2 may or may not come to E4, given their erratic scheduling and tendency to drop shows, it’s hard to tell, but we’ll let you know when we hear something!
