Amazon Releases Trailer For Anthology Series ‘Solos’ Starring Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway, Helen Mirren, Anthony Mackie & More!
Amazon has released a trailer for the anthology series ‘Solos‘, which should grab your attention, even if for no other reason than the ridiculously starry cast they have put together for the first season, which lands 21st May on the streaming service.
Created by David Weil (‘Hunters’) the drama stars Academy Award-winning actors Morgan Freeman, Anne Hathaway and Helen Mirren, Emmy Award-winning actor Uzo Aduba, Nicole Beharie (‘Sleepy Hollow’), the MCU’s Anthony Mackie, Dan Stevens (‘Downton Abbey’, ‘Legion’) and Constance Wu (‘Fresh Off the Boat’, ‘Crazy Rich Asians’). The seven-part anthology series explores the strange, beautiful, heartbreaking, hilarious, wondrous truths of what it means to be human. The drama spans our present and future and illuminates that even during our most isolated moments we are all connected through the human experience.
Produced by Amazon Studios, ‘Solos’ is executive produced by Weil and Laura Lancaster with Pixie Wespiser serving as a producer. Weil makes his directorial debut, helming three episodes. Sam Taylor-Johnson (‘Nowhere Boy’) directs and executive produces two episodes. Additional directors include Zach Braff (‘Scrubs’, ‘Garden State’) and Tiffany Johnson (‘Girls Room’).
‘Solos‘ premieres Friday, 21st May 2021 on Amazon Prime UK and worldwide.
