‘Lost In Space’: Full Trailer For 3rd & Final Season, Coming December To Netflix

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has released the full trailer for Lost In Space Season 3, which will return this December for its concluding season.

‘Lost in Space’ is a modern reimagining of the classic 1960’s science fiction series. Set 30 years in the future, colonization in space is now a reality, and the Robinson family is among those tested and selected to make a new life for themselves in a better world. But when the new colonists find themselves abruptly torn off-course en route to their new home they must forge new alliances and work together to survive in a dangerous alien environment, lightyears from their original destination.

If you’re trying to remember where we left things, the second season began with the Robinsons stranded on a mysterious ocean planet without Robot. The family had to work together, alongside the mischievous and manipulative Dr. Smith and the always charming Don West, to try and make it back to the Resolute and reunite with the other colonists…

Whilst the family did get back to the Resolute, their joy was short-lived, as it turns out, the Resolute’s engine was built around a crashed alien ship, those aliens being the Robots, and they want their property back! In the ensuing attack, the colonists scatter onto the various Jupiter ships before the Resolute explodes. Don rescues Maureen and John in Jupiter 2, however, the kids escape through a rift following a human-made radar signature in another Jupiter ship piloted by Robot which takes them to an unknown star system. Once there, they come across the Fortuna, a ship that had vanished nearly twenty years earlier and was commanded by Grant Kelly, Judy’s biological father…

‘Lost in Space’ stars Toby Stephens (‘Black Sails’, ‘Die Another Day’) as John Robinson, and Molly Parker (‘House of Cards’, ‘Deadwood’) as Maureen Robinson. As the Robinson kids, Taylor Russell (‘Falling Skies’) is the strong-willed and confident Judy, Mina Sundwall (‘Maggie’s Plan’, ‘Freeheld’) is the quick-witted and definitive middle-child Penny, and Max Jenkins (‘Sense8’, ‘Betrayal’) is the curious and sensitive Will Robinson. Brian Steele portrays The Robot.

The series is produced by Legendary Television and written by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless (‘Dracula Untold’, ‘The Last Witch Hunter’). Zack Estrin (‘Prison Break’) serves as showrunner.

Lost In Space‘ Season 3 premieres Wednesday, 1st December 2021 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
