DC’s ‘Black Adam’ Gets A Trailer, Coming To Theatres In October

by Dave Elliott

DC has released the official trailer for ‘Black Adam’, the upcoming movie which sees Dwayne Johnson take on the titular role, which is released in cinemas this October.

Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the ancient gods – and imprisoned just as quickly – Black Adam (Johnson) is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

Alongside Johnson as Black Adam, the film also features various members of the Justice Society of America. They include Aldis Hodge as Hawkman; Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher; Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone; and Pierce Brosnan as Doctor Fate. Other cast includes Sarah Shahi as Adrianna, Marwan Kenzari as Ishmael, and Bodhi Sabongui as Amon.

The movie has been a huge passion project for many of those involved, including Johnson himself. The star signed up for the part back in 2014, but expressed interest in playing the role as far back as 2007.

‘Black Adam’ is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (‘Jungle Cruise’), based on a screenplay by Rory Haines, Sohrab Noshirvani and Adam Sztykiel. Beau Flynn, Dany Garcia and Hiram Garcia are producers.

‘Black Adam’ arrives in theatres on Friday, 21st October 2022.
