‘The Recruit’: Netflix Releases Trailer For CIA Series Starring Noah Centineo

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has released a trailer for The Recruit, a new dramedy spy series from Alexi Hawley, creator of ‘The Rookie’, starring Noah Centineo, which premieres in December on the streaming service.

The series centres around Owen Hendricks (Noah Centineo – ‘Black Adam’, ‘The Fosters’), a young CIA lawyer whose first week on the job turns upside down when he discovers a threatening letter by former asset Max Meladze (Laura Haddock – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘White Lines’), who plans to expose the agency unless they exonerate her of a serious crime. Owen quickly becomes entangled in a dangerous and often absurd world of power politics and mischievous players, as he travels the world in hopes of completing his assignment and making a mark at the CIA.

Alongside Centineo and Haddock, the series also stars Aarti Mann (‘Big Bang Theory’), Daniel Quincy Annoh, Vondie Curtis-Hall (‘Daredevil’, ‘Chicago Hope’), Kristian Bruun (‘Orphan Black’, ‘Murdoch Mysteries’), Colton Dunn (‘Superstore’), and Fivel Stewart (‘Atypical’).

The series is executive produced by Centineo, Doug Liman, Gene Klein, David Bartis and Adam Ciralsky and Alexi Hawley who also serves as Creator and Showrunner. Liman (‘The Bourne Identity’, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’) also directs the opening episodes.

The Recruit‘ Season 1 premieres Friday, 16th December 2022 on Netflix UK and worldwide.
