‘The Equalizer’: Season 3 Gets February UK Premiere Date On Sky Witness
Queen Latifah is back as ‘The Equalizer’ this February as Sky Witness sets a UK premiere date for the 3rd Season.
Latifah stars as Robyn McCall, an enigmatic former CIA operative who uses her extensive skills to help those with nowhere else to turn. McCall comes across to most as an average single mom who is quietly raising her teenage daughter. But to a trusted few, she is “The Equalizer” – an anonymous guardian angel and defender of the downtrodden, who’s also dogged in her pursuit of personal redemption.
Season three begins in the aftermath of her abduction. As the walls between McCall’s family and vigilante life continue to crumble, those closest to her must come together for the first time to save her.
Alongside Queen Latifah, the series stars Tory Kittles as Marcus Dante, an intelligent and shrewd NYPD detective on Robyn’s trail, but she helps him but finds common ground in getting justice; Liza Lapira as Melody “Mel” Bayani, a former Air Force sniper turned owner of a bar which acts as a secret base of operations for Robyn; Adam Goldberg as Harry Keshegian, Melody’s husband and a master hacker; Lorraine Toussaint as Viola “Aunt Vi” Marsette, Robyn’s very wise paternal aunt; And Laya DeLeon Hayes as Delilah, Robyn’s daughter.
The drama, which is already renewed for season four, is executive produced by Andrew Marlowe, Terri Miller, Dana Owens (Queen Latifah), John Davis, John Fox, Debra Martin Chase, Richard Lindheim (co-creator of the original ‘Equalizer’ TV series that ran on CBS for four seasons), Shakim Compere and Liz Friedlander (pilot director).
