Netflix has released a trailer for the 5th and final season of ‘Top Boy‘, and announced the drama will premiere in September 2023 on the streaming service.
The series follows Ashley Walters (‘Bulletproof’, ‘Sugarhouse’) and Kane Robinson as “Dushane” and “Sully”, two seasoned drug dealers who returned to the gritty streets of London, but their pursuit of money and power is threatened by a young and ruthless hustler “Jamie” (Micheal Ward).
Following the release of Season 4 (or 2, depending on how you’re counting!) on Netflix in March 2022, the show quickly went to number 1 in the UK as audiences switched on to watch Jamie get out of prison and disrupt Dushane’s unrivalled rule of Summerhouse, and Sully emerge from his reclusive life to ride out for family. The finale of the season left fans with their jaws dropping, and now the stakes are at their highest, and it’s time for the final reckoning…
Regular cast Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson, Simbi Ajikawo, Jasmine Jobson, Saffron Hocking and Araloyin Oshunremi will return with new cast members Barry Keoghan (‘The Batman’, ‘American Animals’) and Brian Gleeson (‘Bad Sisters’, ‘Peaky Blinders’, ‘Frank of Ireland’) playing new characters, Jonny & Tadgh.
The series is executive produced by multi-faceted entertainer and producer Drake and his business partner Adel “Future” Nur, along with Maverick Carter and Jamal Henderson for LeBron James’ SpringHill Entertainment.
