‘Berlin Station’ Seasons 1-3 Get UK Air Date On UKTV Play
UKTV Play has announced all 3 seasons of ‘Berlin Station‘ will land this July on the streaming service. Whilst the first two seasons have previously aired on More4, I believe this is the first time the 3rd Season has premiered on broadcast TV in the UK.
If you’ve not caught the series before ‘Berlin Station’ is a modern spy thriller starring Richard Armitage as cerebral CIA analyst Daniel Miller, working undercover at the agency’s Berlin branch.
Mentored by jaded veteran officer Hector DeJean (Rhys Ifans), Daniel has a clandestine mission: to determine the identity of a whistleblower masquerading as “Thomas Shaw.” As Miller dives deeper into the German capital’s hall of mirrors and discovers conspiracies that lead back to Washington, he wonders if anyone can ever be the same after a posting to Berlin.
Alongside Armitage and Ifans, the series stars Richard Jenkins as Steven Frost, Leland Orser as Robert Kirsch, Ashley Judd as BB Yates, and Keke Palmer as April Lewis. The later seasons also include Ismael Cruz Córdova as the unpredictable CIA agent Rafael Torres, and James Cromwell as Gilbert Dorn, a former CIA legend put out to pasture.
‘Berlin Station’ was created and is executive produced by Olen Steinhauer (author: The Tourist, All The Old Knives, The Cairo Affair). Academy Award winner Eric Roth (Forrest Gump, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, House of Cards), along with Steve Golin, Kerry Kohansky-Roberts, Keith Redmon and Luke Rivett from Anonymous Content (The Detective, The Knick, Mr. Robot) also executive produce. The series is produced by Paramount Television and Anonymous Content. The series showrunner is Jason Horwitch (Rubicon, House of Cards).
