‘Only Murders In The Building’ Renewed For Season 4
The utterly delightful and highly entertaining ‘Only Murders In The Building‘ has been renewed for Season 4 by Hulu the US streaming service has announced. The show airs on Disney+ in the UK.
From the minds of Steve Martin and John Hoffman (‘Grace and Frankie’), the series follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth.
The most recent third season, which concludes today on Disney+ and Hulu saw Charles, Oliver & Mabel investigating a murder behind the scenes of a Broadway show. Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd) played a Hollywood action star whose Broadway debut is cut short by his untimely death. Aided by co-star Loretta Durkin (Meryl Streep), our trio embarked on their toughest case yet, all while director Oliver desperately attempts to put his show back together.
The renewal is not a huge surprise given the season three premiere had the most viewers of any scripted Hulu Original in 2023. The series is also Hulu’s most-watched comedy original ever.
Alongside Rudd, Short, Martin, Gomez, and Streep the season three cast included Jesse Williams (‘Grey’s Anatomy’), Ashley Park (‘Emily in Paris’), Jeremy Shamos (‘Better Call Saul’), Linda Emond (‘Succession’), and Wesley Taylor (‘Smash’), Don Darryl Rivera (‘Let the Right One In’), Allison Guinn (‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’), and Gerald Caesar (‘Dear Evan Hansen’). In addition, Michael Cyril Creighton was upped to series regular as the cat-loving Howard Morris.
‘Only Murders in the Building’ hails from co-creators and writers Steve Martin and John Hoffman (‘Grace & Frankie’, ‘Looking’). Martin and Hoffman executive produce along with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, ‘This Is Us’ creator Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal. The series is produced by 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.
‘Only Murders In The Building‘ airs on Disney+ in the UK and on Hulu in the USA.
