Disney+ UK has another eclectic mix of shows landing this February for all the family, from Steven Knight’s much anticipated new boxing drama ‘A Thousand Blows’ Starring Stephen Graham & Malachi Kirby, to Pixar’s first original animated series ‘Win Or Lose’, to the return of favourites such as ‘Abbott Elementary’ and ‘Will Trent’. Here’s what’s coming to Disney+ UK in February 2025.
Disney+ Originals & UK Exclusives – February 2025 Highlights
The Kardashians, Season 6 – 6th February 2025 (Weekly Series)
The Kardashian-Jenners return with a year full of challenges, milestones, and new adventures. With uncertain futures and their past returning to haunt them, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie, and Kris will have to rely on each other as they navigate their roles as moms and businesswomen, to overcome the obstacles that come with their increasingly complicated lives.
Muslim Matchmaker – 11th February 2025 (Series)
A new unscripted dating series from “Indian Matchmaking” creator Smriti Mundhra’s Meralta Films. Matchmakers Hoda Abrahim and Yasmin Elhady are on a mission to help Muslim American singles find their lifelong partner while staying true to their faith. This duo isn’t messing around with modern dating apps and hook-up culture but instead swear by their cardinal “Rules of Three”: three dates, three months and three hundred questions (yes, you read that right!). From cringey first dates to moments of profound connection, Hoda and Yasmin support their clients in navigating the complexities of dating with the intention of marriage while staying true to their values and beliefs.
Nat Geo’s The Space Race – 12th February 2025 (Series)
In ‘The Space Race’, directors Diego Hurtado de Mendoza and Lisa Cortés profile the pioneering Black pilots, scientists and engineers who joined NASA to serve their country in space, even as their country failed to achieve equality for them back on Earth. From 1963, when the assassination of JFK thwarted Captain Ed Dwight’s quest to reach the moon, to 2020, when the echoes of the civil unrest sparked by the killing of George Floyd reached the International Space Station, the story of African Americans at NASA is a tale of world events colliding with the aspirations of uncommon men. The bright dreams of Afrofuturism become reality in ‘The Space Race’, turning science fiction into science fact and forever redefining what “the right stuff” looks like, giving us new heroes to celebrate and a fresh history to explore.
Will Trent, Season 3 – 12th February 2025 (Weekly Series)
Based on Karin Slaughter’s New York Times bestselling “Will Trent” series, Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) was abandoned at birth and endured a harsh coming-of-age in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. But now, determined to use his unique point of view to make sure no one is abandoned like he was, Will Trent has the highest clearance rate in the GBI. “Will Trent” stars Ramón Rodríguez as Will Trent, Erika Christensen as Angie Polaski, Iantha Richardson as Faith Mitchell, Jake McLaughlin as Michael Ormewood and Sonja Sohn as Amanda Wagner.
Win or Lose – 19th February 2025 (Weekly Series)
Pixar Animation Studios’ original series “Win or Lose” follows the intertwined stories of eight different characters as they each prepare for their big championship softball game. The series reveals what it actually feels like to be in the shoes of each character—the insecure kids, their helicopter parents, even a lovesick umpire—with incredibly funny, very emotional and uniquely animated perspectives. Directed, written and executive produced by Carrie Hobson and Michael Yates, and produced by David Lally.
Chris Distefano: It’s Just Unfortunate – 21st February 2025 (Special)
A new comedy special from up-and-coming comedian Chris Distefano. Titled “It’s Just Unfortunate,” the one-hour special was executive-produced by late-night host Jimmy Kimmel.
A Thousand Blows – 21st February 2025 (Boxset Series)
Inspired by the true-life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s. Hezekiah Moscow and Alec Munroe, best friends from Jamaica, find themselves thrust into the criminal underbelly of London’s thriving bare-knuckle boxing scene. As Hezekiah finds fortune and fame through the art of pugilism, he attracts the attention of the infamous Queen of the Forty Elephants, Mary Carr, who sets about exploiting his talents to further her criminal enterprise. Meanwhile, the menacing and self-declared emperor of the East End boxing world, Sugar Goodson, is determined to destroy Hezekiah whose ambitions to fight in the West End threaten everything he has built. What ensues is a battle of the old world against the new.
Abbott Elementary, Season 4, Part 1 – 26th February 2025 (Boxset Series)
A workplace comedy following a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal —as they navigate the Philadelphia public school system. Despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life, and though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.
