We’ll see if Mickey Haller met his match as Constance Zimmer signs up to take on ‘The Lincoln Lawyer‘ in Season 4 of the Netflix drama.
Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, ‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ follows Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, who runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles.
Season 4 picks up after the dramatic end to season three, which (SPOILERS) saw Haller being pulled over by a cop who then looks in the trunk of his car and discovers the body of a client… The new season is based on Connelly’s novel, The Law of Innocence.
Those events at the end of season three mean Mickey is defending himself rather than a client this season, and his opposing council is no easy mark… Enter Emmy nominee Constance Zimmer as Dana Berg, a colleague of Maggie’s from her days in the LA district attorney’s office. Dana, a relentless prosecutor who will let nothing stand in the way of a guilty verdict, has a single-mindedness that earned her the nickname “Death Row Dana.” A fierce and ruthless adversary who bends the rules to her advantage, she’s the last person Mickey wants to go up against in what will be the trial of his life.
Constance Zimmer is best known for her role as the scheming exec Quinn in the utterly brilliant ‘UnREAL’, along with appearing in shows such as ‘Big Sky’, ‘Good Trouble’, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’, and ‘House of Cards’. She joins returning cast members Becki Newton (Lorna), Jazz Raycole (Izzy), Angus Sampson (Cisco), and Yaya DaCosta (Andrea). Neve Campbell (Maggie), who was absent for a lot of last season (due to Maggie not really featuring in that storyline) will also return full-time for Season 4.
‘The Lincoln Lawyer’ was created for television by David E. Kelley (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Goliath’) and developed by Ted Humphrey (‘The Good Wife’, ‘Wisdom of the Crowd’). Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez executive produce alongside Kelley, Michael Connelly, Ross Fineman, Barry Jossen and Tana Jamieson. A+E serves as the studio. Filming begins this month.
