‘The Terminal List: Dark Wolf’ Drops Explosive Teaser As Prime Video Sets August Premiere

by Dave Elliott

Prime Video has revealed the official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated action-drama prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, returning audiences to the high-stakes world of covert operations and complex loyalties. Launching globally this August, the series stars Taylor Kitsch (Friday Night Lights, True Detective) as Ben Edwards, a role he originated in the hit 2022 series, alongside returning star Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Terminal List).

The series premieres on Wednesday, 27th August 2025, with the first three episodes dropping on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. New episodes will follow weekly, building to a finale on Wednesday, 24th September.

Co-created by Jack Carr, the bestselling author of The Terminal List, and showrunner David DiGilio, ‘Dark Wolf’ explores the transformation of Ben Edwards from Navy SEAL to CIA operative. Set before the events of the original series, it’s a high-stakes espionage thriller that delves into the murky ethics of modern warfare, exploring the human cost of covert missions.

“Digging into Ben’s origin with Dark Wolf was a blast. This season goes even deeper—there’s more grit, more heart, and a lot more on the line. It’s raw, it’s honest, and it really lets you see the heart of who he is. I have so much respect for the military and SEAL community and loved showing their brotherhood, the things you fight to hold onto, and just letting it all play out. I think fans are going to have a great time with it.”

Alongside Kitsch and Pratt, the cast features Tom Hopper (The Umbrella Academy) as Raife Hastings, Robert Wisdom (The Wire) as Jed Haverford, Luke Hemsworth (Westworld) as Jules Landry, Dar Salim (Game of Thrones) as Mohammed Farooq, Rona-Lee Shimon (Fauda) as Eliza Perash, Shiraz Tzarfati as Tal Varon, and Jared Shaw as Ernest “Boozer” Vickers.

Much like its predecessor, authenticity is a cornerstone of the series, with military veterans involved at all levels, including writing, acting, technical advising, and executive production, to ensure realism in portraying the intensity and moral ambiguity of Special Operations.

‘The Terminal List: Dark Wolf’ is executive produced by Taylor Kitsch, Chris Pratt, David DiGilio, Jack Carr, Antoine Fuqua, Kat Samick, Max Adams, Jared Shaw, and Frederick E.O. Toye (Sh?gun), who also directed the pilot. It is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf‘ premieres Wednesday, 27th August 2025, exclusively on Prime Video.
