Greg Davies returns in all his glorious majesty this September as ‘Taskmaster’ kicks off its landmark 20th series, with a brand-new line-up of comedy challengers. For the first time ever, the show will also be going day-and-date in the USA via YouTube.
The mighty Greg Davies (The Inbetweeners, Man Down) once again rules the roost, with his ever-faithful sidekick Alex Horne (8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown) ready to administer baffling challenges involving codes, gym balls and truly disgusting noises. Lining up to compete for Greg’s golden head this season are Ania Magliano (Live at the Apollo), Maisie Adam (A League Of Their Own), Phil Ellis (Phil Ellis is Trying), Reece Shearsmith (Inside No.9), and Sanjeev Bhaskar (Goodness Gracious Me).
Expect plenty of weird and wonderful antics as the contestants attempt to impress Greg, outwit each other, and ultimately be crowned the next Taskmaster champion.
A Global Comedy Phenomenon
Taskmaster has become a worldwide success since its debut in 2015, spawning local versions in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Norway, and more. In the UK, it’s racked up BAFTAs and Rose d’Or Awards, while its official YouTube channel has amassed more than 1.2 billion views worldwide and nearly two million subscribers.
The programme has built a dedicated North American following in recent years, with sold-out screenings in New York, hosted by Davies and Horne. Now, Season 20 marks a first for fans across the pond. In the UK, the series airs on Channel 4 at 9pm. An hour later, it will stream on the official Taskmaster YouTube channel, going live at 10pm BST / 2pm PT / 5pm ET for American audiences.

Season 20 is executive produced by Alex Horne, Richard Allen-Turner, Rob Aslett, James Taylor, Jon Thoday, and Andy Devonshire (The Apprentice, The Great British Bake Off), who also directs. Andy Cartwright serves as Series Producer, with commissioning overseen by Channel 4’s Head of Live Events, Tom Beck. The show is produced by Avalon, who also handle international distribution.
‘Taskmaster’ Season 20 premieres Thursday, 11th September 2025 at 9pm on Channel 4 in the UK, and streams day-and-date on the official Taskmaster YouTube channel in the USA.
