‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 Trailer Sends Percy Back Into the Sea of Monsters on Disney+

by Dave Elliott

Disney+ has dropped the official trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, teasing a heroic new adventure that dives straight into The Sea of Monsters. The series, based on Rick Riordan’s bestselling fantasy novels, returns this December as Percy faces even greater dangers to save Camp Half-Blood and his best friend Grover.

This season, Walker Scobell returns as Percy, joined once again by Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth and Aryan Simhadri as Grover. Things kick off in New York City before spiralling back into mythological chaos, as Camp Half-Blood’s magical borders are breached. To stop the camp from falling, Percy and his friends set sail into the Sea of Monsters in search of the legendary Golden Fleece. Alongside them is Tyson, Percy’s cyclops half-brother, as they battle gods, monsters and treachery from within.

The new trailer hints at even higher stakes, with Percy proclaiming, “I’m not gonna let some stupid monsters stand in my way.” Expect more action, more mythological mayhem, and plenty of heartfelt moments as the demigods take their next step toward destiny.

Season 2 stars Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, Aryan Simhadri, Charlie Bushnell, Dior Goodjohn, and Daniel Diemer, alongside guest and recurring stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jason Mantzoukas, Glynn Turman, Timothy Simons, Virginia Kull, Courtney B. Vance, Andra Day, Adam Copeland, Sandra Bernhard, Margaret Cho, Kristen Schaal, Tamara Smart, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Toby Stephens.

Created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, the second season is executive produced by Steinberg, Dan Shotz, Riordan, Rebecca Riordan, Craig Silverstein, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Bert Salke, Jeremy Bell, D.J. Goldberg, James Bobin, Jim Rowe, Albert Kim, Jason Ensler and Sarah Watson.

Fans can also dive deeper into the story with The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast, launching on December 10 alongside the series. The unscripted companion show will include behind-the-scenes stories and cast interviews, available to watch on Disney+ and YouTube, or listen to on podcast platforms.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ Season 2 premieres Tuesday, 10th December 2025 on Disney+ with a two-episode debut, followed by new episodes every Wednesday.
