ITV has dropped its Winter 2025/26 Highlights brochure, and it’s clear the broadcaster is lining up a hefty mix of prestige drama, sharp-edged comedy and a strong batch of international acquisitions heading to ITV and ITVX. Here’s a breakdown of the biggest new scripted titles and the key factual, sport and entertainment offerings viewers can expect this winter and beyond.
NEW DRAMA
’Red Eye’ (Season 2)
The high-octane thriller returns as Jing Lusi’s DS Hana Li is pulled into a deadly embassy lockdown when a caller threatens to blow a British government jet out of the sky, with MI5’s Madeline Delaney onboard. Joined again by Martin Compston, the series throws Hana into a jurisdictional nightmare mixed with murder, political tension and personal stakes. A massive 2024 hit, it remains one of ITV’s biggest modern thrillers.
’The Lady’
From the producers of The Crown, this true-crime drama delves into the extraordinary rise and fall of Jane Andrews, dresser to the Duchess of York, turned convicted murderer. Mia McKenna-Bruce plays Andrews, supported by Natalie Dormer and Ed Speleers, in a series exploring class, ambition and identity inside Britain’s upper crust.
’Betrayal’
An MI5 thriller led by Shaun Evans, Romola Garai and Zahra Ahmadi, centring on mid-career officer John Hughes as he becomes embroiled in a dangerous counter-terror investigation. What begins as a hunch spirals into internal suspicion, marital strain and fears of threats both abroad and close to home. Think intelligence-world tension mixed with emotional fallout.
’Gone’
A psychological mystery from George Kay, starring Eve Myles and David Morrissey. When the wife of a respected Bristol headmaster disappears, he becomes the prime suspect. Myles’ detective Annie Cassidy finds herself locked in a cerebral cat-and-mouse game set around an elite school, a foreboding forest and a community full of secrets.

’The Party’
Luke Evans plays journalist Martin Gilmour, whose decades-long loyalty to charismatic politician Ben Fitzmaurice takes a dark turn when buried secrets resurface at a lavish birthday party. Adapted from Elizabeth Day’s novel with themes of privilege, identity and obsession.
’Secret Service’
A contemporary espionage thriller led by Gemma Arterton as MI6’s Kate Henderson, racing to uncover whether a prominent UK politician is a Russian asset. Featuring Rafe Spall, Alex Kingston and Roger Allam, and adapted from Tom Bradby’s political novel.
’Adultery’
A provocative relationship drama from Danny Brocklehurst starring Dominic Cooper and Romola Garai. When two parents become entangled in a passionate affair, their families, social circles and teenage children are thrown into escalating turmoil.
’The Blame’
A crime mystery following DIs Emma Crane and Tom Radley (played by Michelle Keegan and Douglas Booth) as what seems like a straightforward murder case grows into a web of cover-ups, moral compromises and personal revelations.
’Believe Me’
A powerful, real-life drama recounting the victims of serial attacker John Worboys and their fight against police failings. Stars Aimée-Ffion Edwards, Miriam Petche, Aasiya Shah and Daniel Mays as Worboys.
’The Dark’
Laura Donnelly leads this Highlands-set serial killer thriller based on GR Halliday’s novel From the Shadows. Detective Monica Kennedy hunts a murderer staging victims in the remote Scottish wilderness while battling her own traumatic past.
RETURNING SERIES
ITV also brings back a strong slate of returning drama favourites, including Corriedale, the unprecedented one-off crossover event uniting Coronation Street and Emmerdale in a high-stakes stunt that links the two communities forever. Detective favourite Grace returns for its sixth series with John Simm back as Roy Grace in four new feature-length mysteries, while Grantchester enters its tenth season, continuing the partnership between Geordie and Alphy across eight new episodes. Professor T is also back, with Ben Miller once again stepping into the brilliant but idiosyncratic shoes of Professor Jasper Tempest, and Midsomer Murders returns with two more feature-length cases as DCI Barnaby and DS Winter untangle fresh countryside conspiracies.
On the comedy side, the critically acclaimed police-college comedy ‘Piglets‘ returns as Mark Heap and Sarah Parish’s misfit recruits face new chaos, new trainees, undercover mishaps, anger management problems, accidental leadership opportunities and a finale involving wedding bells and major fallout. More workplace absurdity, more farce, more charm.
ACQUISITIONS
Grosse Pointe Garden Society
A darkly comic suburban drama where four garden-club members bury a body in their own flowerbeds, sparking messy secrets and escalating chaos. From the creators of Good Girls, starring Melissa Fumero, Aja Naomi King and AnnaSophia Robb.
Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy
A deep, harrowing true-crime exploration of the infamous serial killer, examining his victims’ stories and the systemic failures that let him evade capture for years.
Gossip Girl
The iconic teen drama lands on ITVX, following New York’s most scandal-ridden private-school elites and the anonymous blogger who tracks their every move.
Fallen
A supernatural fantasy romance based on Lauren Kate’s bestselling novels, starring Jessica Alexander. Expect angels, destiny, forbidden love and celestial conflict.
Yellowjackets
The hit survival thriller, following a girls’ football team stranded in the wilderness and the long-term trauma that haunts the survivors as adults. Starring Melanie Lynskey, Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis.
Nashville
The beloved music-industry drama set in the heart of America’s country-music scene, starring Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere.
Black Sails
The acclaimed pirate drama charting Captain Flint and the battle for control of New Providence Island, packed with political intrigue and sea-faring tension.
Savage River
An Australian mystery thriller as a young woman returns home from prison only to find her old community unwilling to let her past go when a fresh crime occurs. Stars Katherine Langford.
The Affair
The award-winning relationship thriller exploring the emotional and legal fallout of a romance between two strangers, starring Dominic West and Ruth Wilson.
The Nevers
A fantastical Victorian sci-fi tale about a group of extraordinary women with mysterious powers who may be humanity’s best hope. Created by HBO, starring Laura Donnelly.
The Cape Rock Killer
Sam Neill stars in this Australian mystery following a defence lawyer entangled in a trial that reopens a decades-old murder case, thrusting jurors into danger and suspicion.
SPORT
ITV remains the broadcast home for England’s men’s and women’s international football, with qualifying matches and friendlies across the year.
The Guinness Men’s Six Nations returns with ten live matches, including every England fixture. Coverage begins with France v Ireland on Thursday, 5th February. Expect Mark Pougatch and Jill Douglas fronting the action.
The broadcaster also continues its EFL partnership, showing select English Football League games and coverage from the Carabao Cup’s final stages.
FACTUAL ENTERTAINMENT
ITV’s factual entertainment slate includes the return of Olivia Attwood: Getting Filthy Rich, with Olivia diving even deeper into the fast-changing world of the modern sex industry, from online platforms to a trip to Las Vegas. Nobody’s Fool arrives as a strategic, deception-driven reality quiz hosted by Emily Atack and Danny Dyer, where contestants live together, bluff, and battle through intelligence-based challenges. The Princess Diaries is also back, following Princess Andre over two new seasons as she continues her journey into adulthood after a hugely successful first run. Rounding out the lineup is The Martin Lewis Money Show Live, returning with major specials and essential advice to help viewers navigate the UK’s ongoing financial pressures.
ENTERTAINMENT
