Invincible is gearing up for its biggest battle yet. Prime Video has dropped the official trailer and key art for Season 4 of the hit adult animated superhero series, teasing the long-awaited Viltrumite War and confirming the show will be back this spring.
The new footage makes it very clear that things are not getting easier for Mark Grayson. With the world still reeling from the fallout of previous events, Mark is pushed to his limits as new threats emerge that could change the fate of humanity itself. If Season 3 was about consequences, Season 4 looks set to be about all-out war.
Based on the award-winning comic series by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley, the show has gone from cult favourite to one of Prime Video’s biggest animated hits. The third season became the most-watched animation season of all time on the service, picked up Critics’ Choice and Emmy nominations, and continued its perfect streak with a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.
At the centre of the chaos once again are Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, and J.K. Simmons, alongside a massive supporting cast that includes Gillian Jacobs, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Lee Pace, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Zachary Quinto, Mark Hamill, Clancy Brown, Ben Schwartz, Andrew Rannells, Danai Gurira, and many more.
The series is produced by Skybound Animation Studio, with Robert Kirkman, David Alpert, Simon Racioppa, Margaret M. Dean, Catherine Winder, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg serving as executive producers. Skybound Entertainment continues to expand the franchise, with the ‘Invincible VS TAG’ video game also on the way later this year.
