Daredevil Cast Talk The Show’s Future, Play Existential Chicken & Share Behind-The-Scenes Stories At MCM London

by Dave Elliott

We’ve got a treat for Marvel fans, as Charlie Cox (Boardwalk Empire), Vincent D’Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) and Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) took to the stage at MCM London Comic Con 2026 for a brilliantly entertaining ‘Daredevil’ panel! We were there to capture the whole thing, and we’ve now split it into three videos covering the show’s future, some wonderfully ridiculous games, and a fan Q&A featuring everything from Kingpin fighting Spider-Man to a rather lovely Stanley Kubrick story.

Hosted by the always-entertaining WeeClaire, the panel was a fantastic mix of thoughtful discussion and three actors who clearly enjoy winding one another up. And while there was plenty of talk about Marvel’s Man Without Fear, some of the biggest laughs came from stories that had absolutely nothing to do with superheroes!

We’ve divided the panel into three parts, all of which you can watch below.

Part 1: The Future Of Daredevil, Kingpin & Bullseye

The first video sees the trio discussing their experiences working on ‘Daredevil’, the relationship they’ve developed with the fans, and what it means to have spent so many years playing these characters.

Charlie talks about how meeting fans at conventions has completely changed his perspective on acting, particularly when people explain how much the series has meant to them during difficult periods in their lives.

Vincent, meanwhile, discusses the challenges and joys of playing Wilson Fisk, describing the character as someone who is simultaneously terrifying, complicated and rather strange. Charlie is quick to point out just how difficult it is to make a character like Kingpin feel believable, although Vincent is considerably less quick to return the compliment!

There’s also an interesting discussion about the cast finding their rhythm while filming, including how the quality of the writing can transform a scene and allow the actors to become completely absorbed in their performances.

However, perhaps the biggest talking point comes when WeeClaire asks about the series approaching a conclusion.

Charlie explains why he’s grateful to have the opportunity to bring this chapter of ‘Daredevil’ to an ending on its own terms, particularly after the original Netflix series was cancelled without that opportunity.

Wilson reflects on the extraordinary group of people who’ve worked on the show, while Vincent takes a slightly different approach. As far as he’s concerned, unless somebody tells him they’re recasting Wilson Fisk, he’s not considering the character finished!

Wilson’s response, comparing Vincent’s determination to Kingpin refusing to acknowledge a sinking ship, is absolutely priceless.

Part 2: Daredevil Cast Plays Existential Chicken!

Things take a rather sillier turn in our second video, as WeeClaire introduces the cast to Gilbert the rubber chicken for a game of Existential Chicken!

If you’re unfamiliar with this particular convention tradition, the concept is fairly simple. The guests reach inside a rubber chicken, pull out a question, and attempt to answer it.

Naturally, nothing quite goes according to plan.

Wilson Bethel reveals that one of his useless talents involves performing tricks with a baseball cap, although demonstrating the skill in front of an audience proves rather more challenging than expected.

Vincent D’Onofrio takes issue with the questions themselves, which he considers suspiciously similar to the sort of things a therapist might ask. However, his answer leads to the revelation that he’s apparently a rather accomplished magician, despite being quite pleased that he didn’t pursue magic as a career!

But Charlie Cox probably wins the round when he reveals that he can ride a unicycle. Not only that, but under the right circumstances, he can apparently ride one upstairs!

Unfortunately, he also tells a wonderfully embarrassing story about showing off his unicycling skills in front of a group of fellow actors, only to discover that he’d forgotten how to get off the thing.

Let’s just say the dismount didn’t go particularly well.

It’s all delightfully ridiculous, and a lovely opportunity to see the actors being themselves rather than their considerably more serious Marvel alter egos.

Part 3: Kingpin vs Spider-Man, Masked Acting & Stanley Kubrick!

For our third and final video, the cast turn things over to the fans, who have plenty of interesting questions of their own.

One fan asks whether there are elements of the original Marvel comics the actors would still love to explore.

Vincent reveals how the artwork of various comic-book artists helped him develop his portrayal of Kingpin, and when another fan asks what he’d like to see his character do next, his answer is wonderfully straightforward.

He wants to fight Spider-Man!

Now, obviously, that’s Vincent’s wish rather than confirmation of anything Marvel has planned, but given Kingpin’s long history with Spider-Man in the comics, it’s certainly something fans would love to see.

Elsewhere, Wilson finds himself discussing his rather unexpected adventures narrating erotic fiction, much to the amusement of Charlie and Vincent.

Charlie then shares his own audiobook disaster, having enthusiastically given several characters different accents before discovering that, later in the book, they all had to have a conversation with one another. Suddenly, that brilliant idea didn’t seem quite so clever!

There are also some fascinating questions about acting while wearing a mask.

Charlie explains how difficult it can be to convey emotion when much of your face is covered, leading Vincent to offer some surprisingly heartfelt praise for the subtle physical choices Charlie makes as Daredevil.

That discussion also produces a hilarious story about Wilson genuinely falling asleep while playing an unconscious character during filming. Apparently, method acting can sometimes be taken a little too far!

The cast also discuss some of their favourite scenes from ‘Daredevil’, including the unforgettable prison confrontation between Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, and the first time the two characters communicate over walkie-talkies.

But perhaps the most memorable moment comes towards the end of the panel, when Vincent shares a personal story about working with legendary director Stanley Kubrick on Full Metal Jacket.

He recalls filming the famous bathroom scene and a small gesture from Kubrick that meant an enormous amount to him as a young actor making his first film.

It’s a genuinely lovely story, although Wilson Bethel immediately manages to come up with a considerably less sentimental explanation for the director’s behaviour!
