Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that have to be looked up.

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 9 pm (special episode)

    • Jay says:

I’m not completely sure Sky One is going to buy the rights to Batwoman. It may end up on Netflix UK but can’t be sure right now. Someone is sure to pick it up.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

No news yet on Batwoman, but we may get an answer later this month. It will depend on negotiations with WB and how much they’re asking for the series. I’m hopeful they’ll want it to replace Arrow now that is ending.

  13. WARREN B Boyne says:

What date is Arrow’s finale on the CW channel?

  14. Edward Perkins says:

Brand New Season 2 Box Set of US Crime Drama The Oath Starts on Thursday 15th August 2019 on My5.

    Info From TVWISE.

  15. Ramsay says:

As expected, the first show of Lethal Weapon’s third season was unequivocally bad….bad….bad!! It actually reminded me of one of those dire 1980s movie sequels. The ones where principal cast members didn’t return so they built the film around peripheral figures, referencing departed characters to create a tenuous link to the superior original, while trying to recreate the same dynamic in the most painfully lazy and contrived way possible. No wonder Wayans jumped ship and it got cancelled!

    • Jus says:

I think that’s a bit harsh I still thought it was entertaining enough

      • Ramsay says:

Without Riggs it just seemed pointless to me and the new character’s ‘damage’ was way too contrived and obvious (and wouldn’t someone have to, you know, pass a detectives exam before being promoted – regardless of their background?!?!) For great entertainment everyone should check out Warrior on Sky One. What an exceptional and unexpected treat that’s proving to be. Martial arts shows / films are very often all style and little narrative substance, but this blends both perfectly. And the stand alone ‘wild west’ episode a couple of weeks back was sheer brilliance. Watching that and Lethal Weapon’s premiere back to back would kind of be the televisual equivalent of seeing Man City playing football one minute and then a team of blind septuagenarians having a kick about the next!

    • Heidi says:

There was nothing bad about the first episode of Lethal Weapon series 3. I actually really enjoyed it.

      • Ramsay says:

Nothing bad? I mean, the complete absence of the titular character might be number one on that rather long list! I guess some are easily pleased.

        • Paul Dormer says:

Titular character? You mean there used to be a character in it called “Lethal Weapon”?

          • Ramsay says:

            From the good old dictionary:

Titular: Relating to – or denoted – by a title.

Unless you believe that Rog’s neighbour is the Lethal Weapon, I think my description’s accurate!

            • Heidi says:

I think your assessment is a bit harsh after just one episode. Only one cast member has been replaced, apart from that the show is the same as it always was. I’ve always liked Seann William Scott anyway so in my opinion he is a more than worthy replacement! Everyone i’ve spoken to have still said that it was good. Some people were just determined not to like it no matter what it was like and are way too hard to please!

              • Ramsay says:

But it’s not one cast member, it’s THE cast member. Or rather the character (as the cast member was quite clearly a * insert expletive * ) who the films / show was built around. I actually wanted to like it, though, Heidi as Scott has always seemed quite cool, even if he doesn’t quite have Crawford’s range and ability to manifest deep rooted emotional trauma and inner conflict. Plus, he’ll always be the Stiff Meister to me – I can’t escape it!

I really like the rest of the cast too, but there just didn’t feel like a reason for the show to exist without Riggs and I found it hard to get around that. Personally speaking, I think they should have just bitten the bullet – Dr Who / Bond style – and recast Riggs. That would have made more sense imo, and allowed the story they were telling to continue (providing the new Riggs cut the mustard) as it was great the way it was.

                • Jus says:

Way to harsh on it in my opinion, I thought it was still what it always was a action entertainment show it’s hardly like it was a serious acting drama ever. I do agree that Warrior was very good though.

  16. Jaco Moss says:

FBI will premiere with a Double Bill also E4 has schedule chances from next week with School of Rock removed, The Good Place moving from 9:30pm to 10:00pm and Adult Swim moving an hour later (12:15am) due to Celebs go Dating and Friday Night Movie being moved from 9pm to 10pm.

  17. Natasha says:

All episodes of Manifest are now available on sky on demand

  18. Val DysonVal says:

I watched the first 5 episodes of ‘Taken’ on Paramount but then it disappeared. Does anyone know where I can watch the rest of series 1.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Seems to have moved over to 5USA at the small hours of the morning – August 1st, 2:50am, A Clockwork Swiss. Episode 5, August 8th, 2:50am, Hail Mary. Episode 6 on 5USA.

Bear in mind, Paramount UK is owned by Viacom, who own Channel 5 network of channels, so expect some random “roll a six to start” scheduling… 😉

    • Andrew says:

Taken is on both Paramount Network (season 2 on Tuesdays at 22:00 – 22:55) and 5USA (season 1 on Thursday mornings at 02:50 – 03:50).

    • Liam says:

      Amazon prime

  19. Kirsten Friis says:

Do you know if and when Paramount Network will show Designated Survivor Season 2 as I don’t have Netflix?

  20. Warren says:

Why is all the Avengers films not on Netflix? I’ve heard they are on sky.

  21. Lisa Strachan says:

according to syfy.com Amazon has renewed the expanse for season 5.

  22. Manifest is another series getting an early hours premiere. I’ve just noticed it’s listed on Sky One at 2am on Tuesday morning.

  23. Beth van says:

I would like information about when Britain’s got talent the champions and I’m a celebrity are coming

  27. Sarah Finn says:

    https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/lucifer-renewed-final-season-5-1203235410/

  28. Bobby says:

Yes Siren is back 9pm Thursday on SYFY

  29. Season 2 of Siren returns to syfy in the early hours of Thursday morning. 2am to be exact.

    • Ian Vellacott says:

It is also on at 9pm, goodness knows why they put it on so early for it’s first showing.

      • Paul Dormer says:

They did the same with the season 5 opener of Killjoys this week. It’s not as if it’s like Sky showing Game of Thrones in the early morning to show it simultaneously with the US showing. Killjoys restarted in the US over a week ago, and Siren restarted in June.

  30. L Patel says:

Animal Kingdom has been renewed for season 5, despite the 4th season being dropped by Amazon Prime in the UK. – The first 3 seasons are on Amazon Prime.

Also The Code has been cancelled in the US after 1 season.

  31. Seth says:

Looks like Comedy Central have acquired Single Parents. Digiguide has it starting Monday 5th August at 9pm.

  32. Edward Perkins says:

Brand New American Housewife Season 3 Starts on Wednesday 14th August 2019 at 8pm on UKTV’s W Channel.

    Info From TVWISE.

  33. Paul Dormer says:

A bit late, but I’ve just spotted that the season 5 opener of Killjoys is on tonight – Tuesday night/Wednesday morning at 02:00.

  34. Selina Roe says:

So still no news on supernatural series 14! Gotham is ending this Sunday 28th July, and still no sign?? I’m thinking E4 have dropped it and for reason are keeping quiet as long as possible but seriously what are they playing at ?!

    • Jay says:

I don’t watch it but telling from the previous season coming on last April your probably right in saying it looks like E4 have dropped it. UK networks are ruthless for keeping quiet on shows they have dropped. Channel 5 did it with Will & Grace and Gotham, Itv2 did it with Mom.

      • steven bruce says:

I hope Go on amazon prime as got 13 season on there

        • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

I think Supernatural will be on Amazon Prime eventually, regardless of what happens with E4, as the streaming rights are usually a totally separate issue from the broadcast rights (hence the reason the last season of Gotham is on Netflix now, despite it having not yet finished airing on E4). Having said that, Season 13 didn’t arrive on Amazon until May this year, so it could be a long wait…

Regarding E4, I don’t know this for a fact, but i suspect it’s a contract issue, which is why they won’t tell us either way if they are airing it or not. It may yet still show up, but the longer it goes on, the less likely it is to happen…

    • Julian Peck says:

If you have netflix and a vpn, its available in America

  35. Jus says:

What about the showtime series “city on a hill” any news about that?

  36. Heidi says:

Hi, do you know when or if the second and third series of Mary Kills People will be shown in the UK. The first series was shown on More4 I think.

    Thanks Heidi.

  37. Elle says:

Hi, Having watched the Creepshow trailer (it looks awesome), I would love to know if/when this is going to air in the UK. Thanks

  38. Jaco Moss says:

    From Comic Con Trailer

  39. Cathy123 says:

    Hi
Have just realised I missed the final episode of Canadian crime drama The Murders. Does anyone have any ideas where I could get it?

    • Anna says:

It was on sky box sets until last month so may be worth checking every so often to see if re added. Or tweet sky as they often reply quick to see if coming back on. Was a good series so hoping will be back for a second one. Was very clever how they tied the music in

  40. Julian Peck says:

I thought Dark Web was going to be shown on Amazon Prime this month?

  41. Simon Ramsay says:

Any word on who, if anyone, might pick up the new series of Veronica Mars here in the UK?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

      Nothing yet unfortunately…

      • Amy says:

Do you have any thoughts on how likely it is that anyone will? I would have thought a streaming platform would be more likely but I think the fact that it’s on Hulu in the US, and that previous seasons are only available here on DVD, iTunes or Amazon to purchase, not Prime, makes me worry we’ll have to wait for that. But I hope I’m just being pessimistic.

  42. Jaco Moss says:

Marvels Agents of Shield is to end after Season 7 according to Deadline

  43. Kate says:

What are the chances of Supernatural season 14 being shown in the uk ? They are about to start airing season 15 in the states in October. It’s crazy we have been waiting ages. Should I try to buy it instead ?

    • Julian Peck says:

For anyone who wants to watch supernatural and have nextflix its on american netflix. Just get yourself a vpn

  44. Habib says:

Does anyone know what’s happening with Suits season 9.

Netflix haven’t uploaded the episode and there’s talk they do not have the rights to it

  45. Timothy Pratt says:

Where/when can I see the 2 hour finale of Timeless? Left hanging by the brilliant ending of season 2, but the rest is not on Netflix or Amazon Prime (yet?)…

  46. Edward Perkins says:

E4 Have Confirmed that they have Picked Up UK Rights to US Comedies Brooklyn Nine Nine Season 7 & Young Sheldon (The Big Bang Theory Spin Off) Season 3.

  52. Andrew says:

Does anyone know what has happened to Legion Season 3 on Virgin Catch Up, Chapter 20 and Chapter 21 are the same episode?

  53. Rob jolliffe says:

Hey all has anyone watch Easy on Netflix and does anyone know if they will be a season 4??

  54. Ramsay says:

Did anyone watch the premiere of Departure this week? If so, is it worth checking out as I’ve recorded it but also seen some pretty scathing comments too? There’s so much on these days I don’t waste my time with new shows unless they’re something special.

    • MartyM says:

As a nervous flyer I should probably have given this a miss. It was a bit slow. They seem to have spent the budget on getting some well known actors and the special effects weren’t bad, but they seem to have skimped on the script writers. Also, despite claiming to have been shot in the UK and Canada, the London scenes looked suspiciously like Canada.
Nevertheless, the cliff hanger at the end of the episode was intriguing enough for me to give episode two a go.
You’ve recorded it anyway, so give it a try!

  55. Gillian Paton says:

Any news on season 3 of This Is Us? Starting to think Season 4 will begin to air in the US before we’ve even seen 3!

  56. Mark says:

The third and final season of Lethal Weapon will receive its UK premiere on ITV on Friday July 26th at 9pm, it has been announced.

  61. Howard says:

Hope its ok to post here but anyone who has rte2 might wanna know a us drama called grand hotel starts tonight at 11:50

  62. Paul Dormer says:

I was wondering what has happened to season 4 of Wynonna Earp. It’s not in the list above and the IMDb doesn’t give a date for it either.

I googled it and it appears they ran into financial problems, even though it had been renewed, but these have just been resolved and filming is going ahead.

    Info From TV Wise

  64. Julian Peck says:

Any news on when Amazon prime will be showing the fourth series of the Expanse?

    • David says:

All we know is later this year. However, they did start some way behind as S3 was half way through filming in September 2017 (from Sydney Meyer’s social media – she mentioned being on set making 3.6 on her birthday, which is September) whereas S4 didn’t start filming until September/October 2018. So they wouldn’t have been ready for a June finish anyway. We’ll probably learn more at Comic Con in two weeks.

  65. School of Rock starts on E4 on 15th July.

  66. Mike says:

I may be the only person in the world to actually be interested (and even I don’t care that much) but did E4 ever get around to showing the last two episodes of Happy Together?

And if not (and I’m pretty sure they didn’t because my DVR hasn’t picked them up) are they ever going to?

I know it’s a terrible show and has been cancelled but the completist in me wants closure!

    • Mr N J HACKETT says:

No they haven’t I’m asked them on Twitter around a fortnight ago and asked them again no response so far

      • Mike says:

Thanks for the response. You’d have thought if they had them they’d show them but I guess we’ll wait and see,

  67. James says:

A few weeks ago, Paramount Network started showing The Office (US version) weekdays at 5pm. But this week, it’s showing Suits. Does anyone know what happened? It was in the middle of season 2.

  68. Hugh Maisey says:

Last Man Standing Series 7 starts 5* on Tuesday 9th July. Not mentioned above so presume this was short noticed.

  69. Chandra Clarke says:

Any u[date to when the 100 series 6 will be showing on E4

  70. Martin Elliot says:

I’ve noticed Chicago Med is now listed on the Sky Witness page , is it moving channels,
    https://www.sky.com/watch/channel/sky-witness/chicago-med

Both Sky Witness and Universal are now owned by Comcast

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

That’s an interesting one! They haven’t announced anything yet as far as I can see, but you are correct, Comcast do own Sky Witness and Universal now. It would make much more sense to have both Chicagos on the same channel if they can do it, but it would probably depend on the contract… They also still need to wrestle PD from the hands of Channel 5 of course, but it’s would be a start. I’ll post if I see/hear anything official.

      • Jon Wolf says:

I have Sky and I took a look at Box Sets. Sky Witness has Chicago Med in UHD. All 4 seasons are available on Box Sets from Sky Witness in UHD/HD/SD.

      • Jay says:

Why are all the boxsets on Sky Witness but you’ve updated it to be back on universal in the autumn

        • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Official word from Sky is currently saying it isn’t changing channels right now, so I’m leaving it on Universal until they give an update about the premiere of the next season.

    • lisa strachan says:

its official chicago med has moved to sky witness

      • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

It’s technically not official, as Sky still aren’t saying anything, but I’m now pretty sure the change is correct and looks like Chicago Med is moving to Sky Witness, so I’ve switched it over.

  71. Jaco Moss says:

Sky One has pick up Manifest and will air it on Tuesday July 30th (Time TBC)

    Promos are airing on TV.

  75. Sarah McMurray says:

Any idea when Roswell will come to the UK?

  76. Jeff Davison says:

Regards programme renewal. Loads of programmes I rated didnt get the viewers required. It goes to stand that people will watch any old rubbish these days and will not wacch proper subject on tv. It is unfortunately a sign of the lazy times we live in propogated by the insidious nature of so called social media which is the new religion ergo people will believe anything that is put in front of them….

    • Paul Dormer says:

Of course, those people watching the shows that don’t get cancelled say exactly the same thing about you and the shows you watch. To them, you are the one watching the rubbish.

I realised a long time ago there is no such thing as good or bad television. There’s stuff I like and stuff I don’t like, and also there’s stuff that’s popular and stuff that isn’t. And the two sets aren’t identical.

  77. Andrew Ward says:

When will the new series of The 100 be shown in UK?

  78. Bobby says:

All the programs that get cancelled are because they don’t have enough viewers and some that have been cancelled personally I’ve really enjoyed watching them, it just a shame that others don’t like them

    • Jo says:

Agreed it just doesn’t make any sense

      • Paul Dormer says:

That’s just the way of the world, I’m afraid, it doesn’t have to make sense. Just the same as some people like beer and others don’t, My tastes in classical music are so idiosyncratic I’ve heard people say they won’t listen to something just because I’ve said I like it. And there are lots of popular TV programmes that I just can’t watch.

A TV programme has to make money for the station, otherwise why should they show it.

  79. helen raybould says:

I saw a question from harry asking about certain programmes and renewal and cancelations I wanted to broaden the comment and ask how much stuff does the uk get in terms of programmes I mean from America whether it be renewed or cancelled stuff and why do you think so many good programmes are being cancelled so soon after airing so many series that I got hooked with just get cancelled after a short time while the crap garbage stuff gets renewed so much I think the tv stations are bias and don’t care about the viewers and wat they like they just care about ratings etc I don’t think there is any point in getting hooked into a series or show as it will variably get cancelled however I am waiting patiently for when the l word generation q series 7 gets aired on showcase the fall in the states so I can maybe judge when its likely to come to the uk and happy valley series 3 that was aired on itv I think but that is series 3?

  80. Jonathan says:

Any news on Season 3 of Lee Daniels’ Star?

  89. helen raybould says:

I think that tv stations doesent care about the general public and wat they like to watch they will cancel anything I think we have to not get emotionally attached to series then when tv stations cancel it wont be so hard to let go I guess its happens many times to me where I get involved with a series and it gets cancelled now I just watch watever is going

So, anyone know what the story is behind the non-release of season 4 of iZombie on DVD? Not having Netflix I bought the first three season as they came out but season 4 isn’t available either here on in the US as far as I can see. It’s not on Amazon as a download, either..

I’ve found on google a tweet from Warner Brothers saying the release has been delayed due to a rights issue, but that was a year ago. Did season 4 make it to Netflix here? Is it still available?

    • MartyM says:

Yes, seasons 4 and 5 are available to stream on Netflix UK.
According to a tweet from @WarnerArchive season 4 remains unavailable due to ‘clearance issues’ but season 5 will be available on disc.

      • Paul Dormer says:

I’d still like to know what they mean by “clearance issues”, it sounds a bit like that old British Rail “operating difficulties”. Odd that they can show it on Netflix but not anywhere else. If they said Netflix had exclusive rights to show it, that would be another thing.

  114. Alan says:

Anyone know if the Channel 5 group have rights to ANY of the NCIS shows (apart from the repeats they are doing)? As far as I’m aware, the last they broadcast was NCIS season 14, NCIS:Los Angeles season 4 and NCIS: New Orleans season 3. Seems like they dropped LA years ago, took about a year to show the second half of New Orleans, and the main NCIS usually began around January but still no sign yet.

    • No idea about Channel 5/5USA, but if you’re after watching them on Freeview Pick’s probably your best bet with NCIS: LA as they started showing season 6 a couple of weeks back.

  115. Sandra Ingrey says:

Hi, do you know when season 4 of The Heart Guy will be broadcast on Drama.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Doesn’t look like Season 4 has aired in Australia yet (seems to be an Autumn show), so based on previous air dates, it’ll probably be Spring-ish 2020 over here.

  116. Mike says:

You have People of Earth down as season 1. Is that right or should it be season 2?

  117. Alan says:

Interested to know which shows are depicted in the header image – I only recognise Handmaids Tale & Killing Eve.

    Cheers

  118. Alan Wood says:

5USA has the free to air rights for Ransom and Private Eyes and will be showing both from Series 1. I was a bit confused at first as my Virgin planner has Ransom also on Universal. However Universal will be showing Series 3 of Ransom. Just in case anyone else was puzzled like me.

      • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

It’s also all on Prime Video right now. It’s not one I’ll add to the list as it’s not a premiere (We do track some 2nd airing for specific shows, but if we start tracking every 2nd, 3rd and 4th broadcasts I’ll never get anything else done. 😉 )

I’m happy for people to post it in the comments like this though, just in case anyone wants to catch it there. 🙂

  127. Jay says:

There’s no Will and Grace listed on channel 5. Has this gone as well.

  128. Jay says:

Hi Dave. Please can you clarify something for me.

Today I went on the channel 5 website and had a look at the 5USA page to see if there was any news on Chicago P.D. As I’m looking I cannot find anything. It has vanished. Even when you look at the shows they have or type search there is nothing. Possible 5USA have got rid of it and not put out anything yet. Please could you get in touch with channel 5 to find out. Thank you.

Dark (season/cycle 2) is released on 21st June 2019 on Netflix (an important date from the first season!). The new trailer has a lot of spoilers for season 1 – but if you haven’t caught the brilliant German time fractured series yet, I really recommend it. Sorry if has been mentioned but season 2 date is not listed above.

  131. Could you please move Catch 22 to June. I caught an ad in the cinema the other day which confirmed a June broadcast on Channel 4.

I only ask as sometimes I have a delay in the page loading when scrolling up on my iPad. Thank you
