Eragon reviewed…

Well, I went to the first performance of the heavily advertised Eragon today. I cringed as a rushed voice laid out the story so far even before the first actor had a chance to speak…

The film generally is a poor mix of Star Wars and Lord Of The Rings, trying to be spectacular with its wide sweeping camera shots of nice scenary. The baby dragon sequence is good, but short lived, and the film then jumps around, much like if you had read the book and skipped large portions…

Sadly just not the movie it could have been, but some nice things in it, and with a PG (Parental Guidance) rating may appeal to families over the holiday period.
