This week we have an extended podcast as we interview independent film maker & director Martin Gooch.
Martin first came to our attention with his wonderfully sweet & charming award winning movie ‘The Search for Simon‘, which tells the story of David, a man who is searching for his younger brother Simon, who disappeared without a trace and has never been seen since. 30 years after his disappearance, David is still looking, and the search for Simon has become his life’s obsession.
In the podcast we discuss Search for Simon, his earlier award winning movie ‘Death‘ (aka ‘After Death’), and some of his upcoming projects. These include a movie adaptation of award winning novelist Robert Rankin’s book ‘Alice On Mars‘, and an adaptation of fantasy novelist legend Ian Livingstone’s Fighting Fantasy book ‘Deathtrap Dungeon‘.
Martin also directed the BAFTA award winning and EMMY nominated Spooks interactive (BBC/Kudos) and was a two time BBC New Director of the Year winner, and has directed Doctors and Hollyoaks for TV, as well as more than 20 short films as well as pop promos, commercials and virals.
