Stranger Things Season 2 Gets Halloween Release & New Trailer

by Dave Elliott

Yesterday, the Americans had something called a ‘Superbowl’ – Not sure what that is, but I’m guessing it’s some televised eating event, where they all eat large quantities of food from a massive container…

Anyway, it’s a apparently quite popular over there, and they tend to run their biggest adverts during the intervals. One of those breaks gave us a brand new trailer and air date for Stranger Things Season 2 – Halloween 2017!

Set a year after Will’s return, everything seems back to normal… but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins…

The trailer opens with the Eggo (Eleven’s favourite waffle) commercial that debuted in 1979 and aired throughout the 80s in America. We then get a shot of (I think) Eleven upside down, followed by the boys in classic Ghostbusters fancy dress… Although weirdly, they seem to be the only ones dressed up. Next, Will apparently in some sort of “medical” facility, then drawing of the Upside Down monster… and then the monster itself…

We’ll just have to wait till the 31st October 2017 when Stranger Things 2 streams onto Netflix to see what it all means!
