The first full trailer for ‘Stranger Things 2‘ is here, and it’s as wonderfully creepy and 80’s as you could have hoped for! If having ‘Ghostbusters’ outfits and playing ‘Dragons Lair’ wasn’t enough 80’s for you, it’s also set to Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’!
It’s 1984 and the citizens of Hawkins, Indiana are still reeling from the horrors of the demogorgon and the secrets of Hawkins Lab. Will Byers has been rescued from the Upside Down but a bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived…
As we covered a few weeks ago, joining the cast this season are Sean Astin (‘The Goonies’, ‘Lord Of The Rings’) as Joyce’s new boyfriend, and old high school classmate Bob; Paul Reiser (‘Aliens’, ‘Red Oaks’) as Owens, a Department of Energy executive tasked with containing the events of the first season; Brett Gelman (‘Fleabag’) as Murray Bauman, a former journalist turned conspiracy theorist, and Will Chase (‘Nashville’, ‘Smash’) as Neil Mayfield, the father of a new family in town.
Entertainingly, at the SDCC Panel, they were fielding questions from the audience when a familiar face asked if Barb would be in the new season… The question came from Shannon Purser, the actress who played Barb. David Harbour, who plays Sheriff Hopper in the series, responded saying, sadly no, but “Barb will be avenged!”
‘Stranger Things‘ Season 2 will stream on to Netflix from Friday, 27th October 2017.
