Sky Living has picked up ‘The Good Doctor‘, a brand-new medical drama from David Shore, the creator of ‘House’, starring ‘Bates Motel’s’ Freddie Highmore it has been announced.
Dr Shaun Murphy (Highmore) is a brilliant young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. Recruited from a quiet country existence into a paediatric unit of a prestigious hospital, Shaun’s condition makes it difficult for him to connect to those around him. Some question whether his inability to relate to others will affect his ability to save their lives. It is down to Shaun to challenge their preconceptions with his extraordinary medical gifts.
